Friend Code: Super Mario Odyssey Post-Mortem

Check out this week's NVC podcast, they spoke about each kingdom in order so that people could listen up to where their progress was at. Made for a much more enjoyable listen. Hoping Damiani has a listen and can maybe learn from it for the next big game.

Damiani, I think you should look at how Ben has structured Spoiler Mode in the past such as the Persona 5 one. With the Zelda spoiler thing you did, it turned into two hours of you criticizing the things you didn't like about the game like the story and not giving much time to discuss what made the game great, and with this spoiler discussion now I feel like too much time was spent on your comparisons between Odyssey and Galaxy and trying to choose which is better rather than simply setting up topics and letting the panel dig into everything to discuss about Odyssey. It's fine to have your own takes, but if you're going to continue to host these spoiler discussions, then it would benefit the overall flow if you set aside a premeditated chunk for that specifically, giving more time for other elements of the game to be discussed that end up getting missed the way it is now.

Great discussion. Would have loved to hear what people thought of the challenge levels on the dark and darker side and how they compared to challenge levels of other mario games.

Weehoo! Maybe a bit overkill going as far as to even capture sleeping on the spire in NDC, hah, but otherwise I appreciate the effort! Super Mario Odyssey is worth that treatment. Would've liked hearing more opinions on the Dark and Darker side, but I'm sure it's not the last talk we've heard about Odyssey. :)
