Copy Paste: I greatly enjoyed the Fireside chat between both you and Colin Moriarty. I enjoy the difference of opinions, but respect you both shared for each other. I will have to echo Colin's opinion here in regards to some of the more... vitriolic EZA community responses : These are people that you should not be trying to appease. The ResetERA community openly deride, insult, and attack those they do not agree with and shut down any discussion that is brought their way. It is either their way or the highway, which is antithetical to the kind of love and respect that you preach.

Jones, I really admire your willingness to hear everyone out and respond to a lot of the negative comments. I also worry that we, the community need to be moderated and not just indulged with your full stream of consciousness. You can’t help but be on the defensive and it encourages the community to go on the attack. However much I love and admire for you taking this on the chin and walking us through your thoughts, I would love for you to draft an Easy Allies stance on this sort of issue rather than needing to fumble through every point and feed further comments pro and con. May I suggest: “Easy Allies hold firm in their belief that Love &amp; Respect is a goal to live by. It is not something you are born with. And Easy Allies are ambassadors for spreading positivity inside and outside our small corner of the internet. On a case by case basis, we reserve the right to decide who is appropriate to collaborate with. Which communities outside of our own would benefit from being exposed to the Easy Allies philosophy. Benefit from our point of view. Republicans should have a platform to speak on CNN. Democrats should have a platform to speak on Fox News. It is not our stance that appearing alongside someone means we endorse their philosophy. If we think that the Easy Allies brand (which represents us all) is being associated with opinions and positions that we deem inappropriate, on a case by case basis, we will not collaborate. It is important that this distinction is understood and upheld, to preserve the sanctity of Love &amp; Respect, to acknowledge that opening doors rather than closing them is a means to positive change.

Brandon is doing what he needs to do in order to do what is best for Easy Allies... and even if is not doing exactly the way some people want- Jones is still a human being for Gods sake, let him make decisions freely. If it does not work with Colin, then fine, we move on- together.

Hi Brandon- I wish I was writing to you on better terms, but alas I am not. I love Easy Allies, and I think the Allies themselves are fantastic. I also realize this is not exactly your area of control but I hope you can pass the word along. Plus I got I say this, because if I don't there is no chance anything will ever change.... Ok, here it is- I really, really, seriously, dislike the current group stream selection process. There are a large amount of people that are always disappointed by either the final nominations and/or the streamed game chosen... and yeah I realize in the end it is ultimately about the guys getting together for some fun, so in that sense the game chosen does not really matter (except for the huge fact that some games are just more entertaining to watch &amp; play than others); so with that said- why even give us a choice in the first place. Not to mention some people come up with real nice deep cuts like "WCW/NWO Revenge" or "Streets of Rage 2"; or also newer but lesser known games like Mr. Hoeg's hidden strategy gem suggestion "Tooth &amp; Tail", but all these games never get voted on. Which stinks because it is very possible those games would be entertaining to watch and have the Allies play them on stream. At least when Kyle was picking the games we just happily accepted it as a surprise and enjoyed the stream. But now there is all this tension, worries, and politics afoot for people wanting to get there games to be picked. No, in my opinion that is not cool, not civil and not reminiscent of what I hold as Love &amp; Respect. Maybe there is a way to make this process better, but I am not sure what it is. However in the meantime many patrons picks are getting shutdown- and that is a sucky feeling to have every-single-week. I am not saying things can't get better for this selection process, but I hope something can change, I hope. - L&amp;R longriflejack

yeah man, I totally agree. Love and respect means being able to connect with people who don't share your political affiliations. The root of the problem in america is polarization and more talking and connecting between the factions is what we need, not less.

I just upped my pledge to $50 to show my support and hopefully make up for any losses. Respectful discourse is important! Thank you for being a role model for the community in that regard and thank you for everything you do. The CLS podcast was a great listen! &lt;3

Love and Respect aren't exclusive to people that have the same opinion as you. This is why I'm really happy that you are speaking with Colin. I don't know a lot about him other than what I heard on a JRE Podcast, but he seemed like someone that would have good conversations. Been a supporter since day 1 and upping my pledge from 20 to 50, I’m glad you’re standing up for what you believe is best, don’t let these sjws or male feminists dictate what u do, they won’t stop until this community becomes an echo chamber like neogaf or resetera and god forbid u ever have an opinion that differs from theirs you’ll be labeled a nazi. I don’t really have an opinion about Colin and was not a fan of kinda funny but I’m glad to see Eza try to branch out, keep up the great work jones.

I'm certainly one of the more silent members of EZA. Just wanted to say thanks for continuing to be you Brandon. You'll continue to have my support as long as you deliver on games content. Really don't care one way or the other about your politics as long as you keep providing that love and respect. I firmly believe what you said about love and respect being an aspiration, not a promise. Every situation is different. Adapt and change only if necessary. I think all the allies are doing an amazing job.

We have to learn to be unconditional or else we're never going to move on.

Colin often is downright rude and offensive via twitter and probably someone I would not want to see in EZA content but if you want to chat with him on his show its really not an issue for me. L&amp;R

I'm really sorry you feel that way Boris. I feel like Brandon is in a pretty tough spot of trying to understand, respect, and engage with a very diverse spectrum of voices. I personally find CM distateful but I understand that many in the industry had a great relationship previous to the "Day without Women" incident. A random host asking if Brandon would like to appear and him saying "Yes" is not a tacit endorsment of EZA saying those politics are OK. But it ended up hurting this community in many ways. I don't think dropping your pledge is the right call, but I'm not you. I personally greatly respect the way Brandon has dealt with this. He hasn't appeared yet and is taking real and candid feedback about the situation. (See all his responses on Twitter vs. CM's to people who were upset.) If you want to defund the Allies because you're upset, I get it. It's your money. But it's hard for me to feel betrayed by a group of 9 people who work their ass off to bring me entertainment weekly. And that they try as hard as they can to avoid issues like this to make a safe, fun space to talk about our favorite hobby. I've personally met Brandon in real life. He's one of the sweetest most genuine people you'll ever meet. When he's apologizing and saying he'll listen more, he means it. I know I'm not going to shift your opinion but I thought I could just say that everyone feels upset that you feel betrayed and no one ever wanted to lose your trust. Love and respect.

I’m not one to leave comments or be active in chat during streams but I feel like I have to this time. I wish I could pledge more than I am now. We are allowed to be homies with people we disagree with. Thank you Jones. Thank you for putting up content when I have no where else to turn to.
