Devil May Cry 5 is so leaked it's practically announced, Destiny 2 got caught being sketchy, and non-canon cosmetics were the secret undoing of Battlefront II.

Jones, hop on over to /r/prequelmemes on reddit to get in that Christmas spirit

I hope your next betting special is "ambitious". BTW CORRECTION: Bloodworth said "Heavenly Blade" it was "Heavenly Sword" the Ninja Theory made.

Derrick DesRoches

I just listened to that album today, that's a golden reference for that segment. Also, Creature Comfort is great!

i see you with that Arcade Fire reference. i wonder who else here is a fan. pretty solid album. Not a huge fan of "Infinite Content", i think it's one of the weaker songs imo, but can i get any love for "Creature Comfort"?

Andrew Left

I remember Damiani had this dream on Huber's show :)

With Capcom being the crossover masters I think I have the Devil May Cry 5 Doc Brown Spaghetti Monster. Opening trailer shows Dante doing all the crazy things he does. Slashing shooting, dodging baddies until BAM a big mystical stiletto comes crashing down knocking him over. Bayonetta is introduced as the antagonist! For some demon/spiritual conflict they are at odds and clash together. Trailer ends with some witty banter between the two. Pre-Order now.

...and someone just datamined a ton of cosmetic items that EA has apparently already created and put into the game and just turned off the ability to access and apply them in any way.

Avatar Continuum

They didn't want to add cosmetic only items in lootboxes into the game is because they were worried about damaging the 'canon' of Star Wars and think the idea of things like (lets pick the most outrageous example they can think of) a pink coloured Darth Vader is the worst thing they could have done to the Star Wars franchise? Ummm, no, I'm pretty sure the worst thing you could do to the Star Wars franchise was make it an absolutely greedy corporate pay to win gambling and casino theme park aimed at children, but I guess protecting canon in the game is perfectly acceptable as well. After all we remember that one scene from the movies where the stormtroopers were about to go into battle, all walked up to a vendor, handed over hundreds of credits for loot boxes to open up hoping for the chance of a weapons upgrade to help them win. Oh wait that didn't happen? but it's in the game EA is saying they're trying to protect canon. Then there was the scene where Yoda and Darth Maul fought each other on the planet Jakku, you know the planet from the most recent movies which made it's appearance after they had both died in earlier movies... oh that didn't happen either? Come to think about it one thing I remember WAS in the previous battlefront game was... this part is funny... cosmetic items in lootboxes, you know the kind of stuff EA just 'claimed' they didn't put into this game in order to protect the Star Wars canon stuff listed above that in the game that never happened?

hm? the mp3 is in the previous post -Bloodworth

Easy Allies

Can you guys tell me why sometimes there is an MP3 and sometimes there is not ? The mp3 works so much better for me on the go. :(

Is this a Bit

Kyle, as much as I - and you, I suspect - love Arcade Fire, they are not entrenched enough in the zeitgeist for your use of their song "Infinite Content" as a segment theme to be anything but brazen theft. Please correct this tout suite by crediting the work of Win Butler and company, and have a great day.

INFINITE CONTENT!

Anything called "Platypus Free For All" gets a yes-vote in my book.

Cool! I guess I can see the appeal of a luck mechanic if its fleshed out well. I guess it comes down to how I prefer to RP in games. I want my character to be succedsful because of their skill, not because the universe smiles at them. Though I do see how that makes a unique character too. Also, I tend to favor reliable steady dmg over huge crits, so maybe that factors into my preference.

FEEDBACK Kyle... I know you tried on Or Wars. But I really dislike it. 1. It automatically excludes you. As the moderator you are now never going to get your trademark sign off for the rest of the year. 2. Kyle as judge... there will be obvious plays for the win. We all know Kyle hates Bubsy...VEHEMENTLY SO. It's a well-documented fact. Also, Nintendo bias. He can be manipulated. 3. Now we have no resolution to look forward to on each new podcast. 4. It’s HOTTAKE? So maybe do exhibition bets, but it’s an Easy Allies Battle Royale. Red Eagle vs Red Eagle, Platypus free-for-all. It’ll be great.

Luck is my favorite stat in any game that has it. Back when I used to play Ragnarok Online, I'd stat for high luck crit builds where you depended on being lucky enough to hit a critical spot of the enemy more often, spots that ignored enemy defense. In Fallout games, I always go high luck. Those games 100% understand the appeal of luck, also offering high crit chance, lucky enough to find more treasure, lucky bullet richochets, and best of all THE MYSTERIOUS STRANGER, (or Miss Fortune if you're playing the better game) an individual of mystery who just randomly shows up at times to save or assist you at crucial points. Plus the games reward you with better RNG for minigames like cards where a lucky person naturally should simply excel at. I've always considered myself a fairly lucky person, so I have built up a deep respect for the random happenstance of the universe smiling upon myself and others favorably.

What sort of fool doesn't know this?

Totally agree with Jones about Skyrim VR, there's a big buzz right now because yes, it's impressive to try it (or just start it if you own it, I do cause I had it for free with my new PSVR), the thing is Skyrim is too big of a game to experience in VR. Everything takes more time to do (picking items, gettin in the right direction, use the menus in general). It's a great experience but certainly not the best way to play the game if you wanna explore the most of it. I respect people who love it though, but I don't think its good for someone who starts the game for the first time.

I am so glad my bad boy in German correction made it! Haha Love and Respect guys, loving all the podcasts!

Dafydd Gape

Correction. Vader's tie was the "Tie Advanced x1", which was a prototype tie fighter. He didn't pilot a regular Tie Interceptor.
