Retrospectives are a special thing to me since they’re what got me into GameTrailers. I’ll never forget the first time I watched the Final Fantasy Retrospective many years ago. Each part was filled with so much passion and dedication. I learned so many new things about games I loved and was blown away by the production and effort that was put into each part. They weren't just fun little videos to me, they were celebrations of beloved video games that honored their legacies. When I had the opportunity to work on a Retrospective years later, I wanted to share that same joy that I experienced with the older Retrospectives back at GT.
I want to thank Brandon and Blood for helping me with this Retrospective. Bloodworth for being my editor and going through each long and jumbled script with me. I learned so much from him throughout this process. And without his guidance and dedication, I would have never been able finish this. Brandon for taking on the heavy and daunting task of editing each part together. Retrospectives take a long time to edit and Brandon put so much love and care into each part. I’d like to apologize for all the sleep you lost editing these late into the night.
And thanks to all of you so much for coming along on this crazy adventure with me. It was truly an honor working on this and being able to share my passion for the Souls franchise. And even though the fire fades and the dark comes for Souls. We will never go hollow.

The souls games are often reduced to the git gud meme as if the only thing worthwhile with the games is their difficulty. Thank you Brad for bringing out and highlighting the story, which was my personal reason for picking myself up and trying again and again against the abyss watchers or micolash. Excellent work and a stunning example of why we patrons chose to back easy allies. Sry for any spelling or grammar mistakes made. Love and respect from Stockholm, Sweden.
