If you want more money expand the community, don't sqeeus the one you have to hard pleas. Most people are giving what they can. Stretch goals and rewards don't increase my paycheck so like that change is coming. For people who need a reward to feel special, you are special thanx for giving. EZA should also try to branch out more. Send Michael Huber & Ben Moore EVERYWHERE to spread the word. Go after big sponsors and plug their Patreon MUCH more on podcasts & reviews. Focus more on video game related content (like Bloodworth's CDC reports) and kill unsuccessful shows (EZA Anime, Reaction Shots, maybe even put DnD on hiatus)

Instead of asking current patrons to give more money, EZA should be trying their hardest to get NEW 1-5$ patrons. Even though they have over 153 000 YT subscribers, I'm afraid this isn¨'t the way to do it. And this approach seems to rub many current patrons,who already are giving what they can, the wrong way. I hope this fundraiser doesn't backfire on them. Personally, I think the criticism has been justified. If EZA hasn't been happy with their equipment, that should have been a bigger priority than sending Ben to Japan or renting a beach house. And this "better stuff for E3" seems kinda weird since I've never have been unhappy with their video quality. I'd rather have focused fundraiser to hire a behind-the-scenes technician/editor/sound guy so that the Allies could concentrate more on creating quality short form content (Don't Skip, Spoiler Mode, Checking Out, Top 10s, Trailer Jones, bring back the original Don's Design Lab)

I came here to write the same thing. The thing that bugs me most are the people that don't think the Allies deserve the money. I swear, half the people commenting just want to see them scrape by, while I'm over here hoping they get Adam Sandler money :P

The YouTube comments on this video are scaring me. I can't believe there are so many people who hate where EZA is currently at and don't account for the difficulties that it takes to be in the Allies' position (with living in LA, and how hard people work to create these videos, streams, and projects).

Unless there are technical issues with the current set-up that I'm not aware of, I don't understand why they need new cameras. Being able to see thread count of Bosman's suit isn't going to increase my enjoyment of the video. Personally I think the big kicker at the moment is set dressing. A couple of monitors placed around for playback while still being able to be full-screen would help a lot. I'd also like to see them get a boom mic or lapel mics. Having the podcast mics really limits what they can do with the set. Having a bit of freedom with what they can do with the space immediately in front of them would go a long way to improving the quality of the video.

Great Idea guys! Hopefully we will get some new patrons to help improve the set for E3 and beyond. Personally I think considering what you guys do with the current equipment/lighting you have right now is really amazing- seriously pat yourself on the back (especially Ian & Dom). However if more money is potentially coming towards the Easy Allies then I would love to see possibly: 1. A multi camera setup for broadcasting, 2. even better lighting, 3. Create more of a professional clean & streamlined set for shows and events...(Of course keep the "Home" style broadcasting motif- but with a cool, clean vibe... I just feel like it can be distracting because there is too much clutter behind people on those shelves and walls.) 4. Possibly consider having one or two TV/Monitors in the background of the EZA set- This way you could include some visual stimuli to match the stimulating conversation at hand, or just have EZA logo flowing in the background when not really in use for a show or conversation....and in general it gives things a nice cool look for the set too. .... Overall I hope this fundraiser really helps out, and looking forward to hearing the new changes as well as watching a most assuredly fun stream.

I had the same thought. If it was a drive for new patrons, I could understand, but this doesn't exactly give people much of a chance to save aside some extra money if they wanted to.
