Reaction Shots 2017 Year in Review!

Not a bad defense by Ian on star wars, I'll prob check it out when it gets on blu ray. After a force awakens I pretty much don't care about star wars anymore so I'm not really all that mad they did what they did. Pretty much anything star wars related made by disney is in my mind no better than fan fiction at this point and there's no point getting upset about it.

A Joker Fan

I love hearing other people's Black Mirror episode rankings because they are often so wildly different, but hearing Ian put 'Black Museum' at #6 caused me to make the loudest involuntary "PFFFFFT" noise I think I have ever made in my life. It was audible throughout my apartment and my partner came to check on me to make sure I was okay. Was not expecting that at all. I didn't hate the episode, but it was so 'meh' for me that it is decidedly towards the bottom of my list.

I really enjoyed Blade of the Immortal!

Loved The Last Jedi... Besides the sidequest in the movie, I don't see the issues people are seeing it. Of these latest though, Rogue One is still my fav. Besides that, BR 2049 was my fav of last year and I'm not disappointed. Really want to watch Lady Bird and 3 Billboards.

great episode i could listen to you two just talk about movies/shows you've seen recently for 2 hours every week, i really hope you'll both watch Call Me By Your Name for the queer cinema episode, recent release that was my 2017 foty

I couldn't agree with Ian more about Star Wars. Though I had to find that part of the video to avoid spoilers because I missed most of the movies you spoiled. I'll be trying to watch them now before watching the rest of this.

Last Jedi....ok movie terrible Star Wars film. They should have kept the same director and vision for all three. There are these preconceived notions that fans hate it because we hate women or had ideas of how the movie should go. I loved Rogue One and TFA and the only ideas I had where the ones that TFA built in me. I could never explain it as well as this guy. Perfect summarization of everything I hated about this movie and it has nothing to do with all the politics. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQ8ir66M5XU last jedi is my RE6

Phew. Couldn't disagree with you all more on Last Jedi, but I love you guys anyway. -Rick

P.P.S. lol TV'wise hyped for The Alienist and The Expanse

Elliot Moscow

P.S. see the side show Beyond Stranger Things to get the story on the kiss at the dance

Oh and also, advice to David Ayer to massively improve his films beyond narrative, specifically Suicide Squad and Bright; two words - Character Progression

Elliot Moscow

Thanks guys, really enjoy your energy, critique and debate. Bright for me is disappointing because it has so much potential and ends up so loose and confused whereas End of Watch has a tight engaging narrative. Noah for me is worth a watch, went in with non existent expectations based on the reviews and was pleasantly surprised and that's kind of an understatement L&R

For anyone at all curious about my #1 pick: https://youtu.be/rNUYdgIyaPM It was the best reviewed documentary of 2017 on Rotten Tomatoes, and is currently sitting at a 98% with 175 reviews
