How I Write Songs! - Easy Update
Added 2018-03-11 05:03:00 +0000 UTCHello friends! Here is a video wherein I make a song with you, using a Pocket Operator and Ableton 10 and my voice and some cool plugins! It's less of a tutorial and more of an exploration into music making... kinda?
It's a nice relaxing 30 minutes and I hope you enjoy!

2018-03-13 15:06:12 +0000 UTCThis made me want to start making songs again! unfortunately I haven't put hardly any of my time into music over the last few years. I've always wanted to learn Ableton, I used to make songs with Reason 4 years ago. I used to drum and play synth. I have a Roland TD4 I still occasionally play but I might have to dig out and start messing around with my midi controller again after this video. It made me realize how much I miss it! Anyway good stuff, always fun to get a little peak behind the curtain. When you go through the easy update sound cloud and take in all the songs you've been pumping out it's impressive, definitely some good stuff in there!

I would really appreciate a video, something written, or just pointing me to something explaining how you connect/use digital audio devices and get audio from analogue sources into synths etc. I've been considering leaping from my 'traditional' (for want of a better term) instruments to some digital stuff. I've looked at the Moog Mother 32, Akai MPC Live, Korg Kaossilator, and Korg Minilogue but I never taken the plunge. I've watched a lot of vids on those devices that just tell you the features. But nothing that tells you how to really use them to their potential.
