2018-03-14 23:03:33 +0000 UTCGreat point! I suppose he HAS forgotten who his god is, though. And even apart from that, his theology may just be a little skew-whiff! It's a staple to play paladins as one-eyed - but maybe kind of interesting to have one who's one-eyed in the pursuit of mercy?

2018-03-14 19:47:15 +0000 UTCThe Oath of Devotion that Kyle highlighted in the first episode covered Compassion. Aid others, protect the weak, and punish those who threaten them. Show mercy to your foes, but temper it with wisdom. Kyle doesn't seem to be following this tenet, showing mercy liberally without the tempering of it using wisdom at all. Too trusting to a huge fault. As a Christian, mercy is obviously a huge deal to me but people obviously lie, and if this Paladin is serious about his faith surely wisdom is just as important as the mercy he's throwing around as if it means nothing. Mercy is something undeserved, if mercy were deserved it would cease to be mercy anymore. Anyway, sorry for the big rant, love the show - it's so much fun.
