Friend Code: E3 2018 Nintendo Evaluation

Is it just me or has this episode not shown up in any of the RSS feeds? Or does it usually show up later than I am remembering.

Not working because said trolling incentivises disconnects could be another way to word it. Seems also where they were going with their reasoning.

Their audience is bigger than Patreon though. Even while I think the mix up with the episode was no big deal, he was probably just playing it safe, and letting those who don't follow EZA as closely know what had happened.

Fortnite is free, I think one would have to check when investing 60 dollars how much do you get to weight the value more accurately.

Gonzalo Ruiz

Gotta say Huber, I get that you like Fortnite and all but not calling them out for charging $15 for costumes is odd, especially when a large segment of their audience are children who don't quite understand the value of money or the fact that a costume in a video game is not tangible. I get its free to play, but when I buy a video game like Mario Odyssey that has a ton of costumes in it, that would clearly amount to more than $60 dollars if each of them was $15 dollars then I'm comfortable in saying that Fortnite is ripping people off.

I don't like to leave negative comments but I feel like all that preamble and apology stuff should be in a patreon post as oppose to the episode. Kinda killed the vibe for me, but maybe that's just me. Still love what you guys are doing though and still look forward to Friend Code every time :) L&R, Daf

I've never played them, but I think the Pokemon Ranger games might be like this, although I'm sure you mean something closer in gameplay to the mainline series than drawing circles.

Iron Galaxy offered to port MHW for Capcom months ago, if Capcom doesn't think they can do it themselves then let IG try

Give me a Paper Mario Maker and you can have my money, Nintendo. You could give it the Super Paper Mario perspective change ability and open up so much crazy creativity.

As a spin-off, I'd love to see a Pokémon game where you as a trainer are restricted to only specific Pokémon that you obtain throughout the adventure. I think a better take on the GCN games would be great as it allows for actual story telling and party bonds.

Hey Damiani, I wanted to give you props and say that you have gotten a lot better at hosting since starting this and now seem like a seasoned pro. Your voice is more positive and commanding while also coming off as lighter overall. Good stuff man

Mario Party takes a lot of time to finish and there are several hurdles that could get annoying, like imagine if someone just doesn't play like it has happened in Smash. Or have someone disconnect, even if they're replaced with CPUs it'll feel hollow. Until it's proved it's hard to tell how viable Mario Party is online, since even if everyone is patient, one can't tell if the connection will be strong or that weird lag issues could mess with the game.

CORRECTION Nintendo did recreate a Smash stage at their E3 booth. The competitive tournament stage at the booth was based on the new Battlefield/Final Destination.

CORRETIONS !! :) 1) It's compressed AIR, not GAS (technically ok, air is gas, but on the can it will say air.) + you do not clean the dust on top of your console with this stuff, thats just disgusting, it will only spread the dust all over your room, yuk ! 2)I genuinely wonder why not a single media outlet will acknowledge this but the big restricting factor on the Switch is NOT the graphics. It's the cards. The current cards don't have enough space for a lot of the games and while there are bigger cards on the way, they will be a lot more expensive, making it not interesting for 3th parties to use them. They also won't release digital only, most if not all AA(A) titles need a retail release to be successful. A card with a partial game + a big download is also not in their best interest because of public backlash and the Switch does also not have that much internal memory and big SD cards are also quit expensive (256+ cards). (BTW i did not say the graphics are not A limiting factor, i'm just making the point it's not THE limiting factor for most).

The ideas for the Pokemon part were great. I think Kyle doesn't have enough faith in people playing Mario Party online, especially as friends. Don't give Nintendo ideas with "cooldown periods", although that could be a nice penalty if someone disconnects from matches two or three times during a week and doesn't reconnect before the match ends. Oh, and I really have to ask Kyle during his next stream what he thought was wrong with the Fire Emblem: Three Houses trailer, because I absolutely loved it. Great music, even better tone, introduces the world, new systems, and general plot well while hinting at way more beneath the surface to analyze and theorize about. Best of all, no dumb fanservice moments like the Fates trailer. Only downside imo is some sketch animations that I'm sure they'll polish up before release.

It felt like we had gotten an early Friend Code episode during E3 anyways so I was more than content. After staying away from Nintendo, really since Gamecube, Friend Code has been such a great motivator for me to get back into Nintendo this year (starting with the Switch). Thank you Damiani!
