Community Showcase Submissions - August 2018
Added 2018-07-29 08:11:34 +0000 UTCThis Thursday, August 2nd, I’ll be sitting down with Michael Damiani for another rampage through the collective output of our creative community. If you are planning on posting a video, song, photograph, or illustration, I kindly request that you keep your accompanying text post limited to a short description of the work being presented. We’ve had some Patrons post a comment that’s close to our word limit, along with another piece of media, and that’s not fair to the people who are only leaving comments. If this keeps up we’ll have to trim comments, and we hate to do that because you always have such interesting stuff to say!
I hope this summer has been inspiring for you, and I can’t wait to see what you have in store for this month’s showcase!

Any text to be read should be 500 words or less. Any video should be 3 minutes or less. If the entry is longer, we will edit it down to a manageable length. We reserve the right to remove any content we find offensive. If you’re posting a video, photograph, or drawing, keep your comment limited to a description of the work.
Only one entry per month. Unless you specify what you’d like us to focus on, we’ll always use the last post from each Patron.

2018-08-02 13:07:30 +0000 UTCAloha Brandon and Damiani, Unfortunately for this month, I don't really have any pictures of recent vacations or Lego/Gundam builds to share (although I do have some older pictures from my last couple trips to Europe visiting family if you're interested). So I was wondering if I could get some help with a problem I've been thinking about. Last year, I pre-ordered both the Switch and Breath of the Wild Master edition, but due to certain unnameable retailers severely underestimating their stock, I missed out on both. Even my backups fell through. Since then I've been really put off by the whole thing, but since my birthday in May I've been planning to finally pick up a Switch. So I was wondering what would you recommend for me to pick up? I know I'm going to buy Zelda and Mario Odyssey, and probably Xenoblade and Octopath. But I am definitely open to suggestions for other games that are must play on the console. I don't really play Fighters or Platformers, but pretty much anything else is on the table. Mahalo nui loa for your help and I can't wait for Easy Living, L & R, Samo Rozman @Namzor

2018-08-02 13:07:17 +0000 UTCHello Allies, this comment might be late this time, sorry ! I could not make a brand new musical submission for the showcase this month due to family vacation in Brittany, France ! I was too busy visiting beautiful gardens, admiring the waters of the Channel, feeling small next to a 25-feet tall standing stone and marvelling at the actual Great Deku Tree (well, actually a 1,600-year-old oak tree, but it felt like Koroks were around). So if you forgive me, and if this comment is not too late, I'm submitting something I did some time ago. One day I played the music from the Steam Gardens in Super Mario Odyssey on the piano at a slower tempo, and I found it oddly beautiful and japanese-sounding. So I thought, what if I remade this song in a sort of Joe Hisaishi style ? The result is something I imagined as the possible soundtrack to a Miyazaki movie about the Wooded Kingdom before the Steam Gardens, the forest, nature and spirits before the robots, machines and bio-domes arrived and conquered it all. I hope you enjoy, and I hope I'll be there next month with an actually fresh new submission ! 2018-08-02 08:23:55 +0000 UTCTo keep my submitted comment brief I will add some other info here for those interested. This series is a quest to beat the Ender Dragon in one life, anyone who dies leaves the series. It features myself, two friends, my father (who is in his 60's btw), and my girlfriend. My channel is no longer monitized, this series is not for profit, just for fun. If anyone is remotely interested in survival series, I hope you will check it out. It's heavily edited to cut out all the boring bits and enhance things to be as exciting as possible while still retaining the building, mining, and collecting that makes Minecraft what it is. Please leave a comment if you check it out, it means a lot to me because I worked hard on the production of it. Also, we are currently filming Season 2. 2018-08-01 21:46:50 +0000 UTCHello Brandon and Damiani, it was a great July for me and I hope it was for both of you and the rest of the gang. I wanted to say sorry for not giving a spoiler warning for last’s months post, but if it is any consolation, everything that was spoiled was in the first 5 levels of the Fire Emblem Fates games which are all exactly the same. So with that faux pas out of the way, spoiler warning for Fire Emblem Conquest: 6. Upon returning to Nohr, your “father”, King Garon is angry to see you have returned and thinks you are a spy. For the second time he orders your brother to kill you. But Garon ends up changing his mind and sends you to put down a rebellion single-handedly. After you have left, Garon reveals that he is doing all of this intentionally to make you suffer, and he even says this in front of all your siblings, who of course do nothing. 7. Your character says that they sided with Nohr because they thought that as a Prince of Nohr they had an inside track on resolving the war peacefully and mercifully, but after you put down a rebellion in Cheve, your father orders his men to kill the wounded enemy soldiers and to massacre any and all of the villagers who had anything to do with the uprising, even if they didn’t actually do any fighting. You stand by and do nothing because to defy your father would mean death. So in other words, your convictions of peace and mercy are strong enough to “betray your birth family” (verbage your character actually uses) so you can work on the inside of regime that regularly commits massacres against unarmed civilians and has tried to kill you multiple times, but your convictions are not strong enough to defy your father’s orders and put an end to a massacre that is happening right before your very eyes. This is an opportunity for your character to make a definitive stand for peace and mercy but instead they do nothing because “well we still have half a story left to tell.” The writers had a chance to allow this event to be the galvanizing or crushing event that forever marks your character and changes them and the narrative of the game. However the writers, and by extension the game, goes with a tepid middle ground that accomplishes nothing but just more of the same. Honestly, there is enough bad in Conquest that I could go on for another community comments or two, but I think I’ve made my point and I really don’t want to beat a dead horse. Conquest made me feel completely apathetic, and I have replayed all of the other Fire Emblem games that I own at least once, but Conquest’s absurdly bad story got me so disinterested in the game that as soon as I finished it I gladly traded it in. I understand that all of this is simply my opinion, and I’m not trying to hate on anyone who enjoyed the game, and I have high hopes for Three Houses, I just really needed to get these feelings off my chest. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to do that. L&R
2018-08-01 21:45:24 +0000 UTCHey guys, to make it short: A few months ago I had a song in my spotify recommendations that uses swordfight soundeffects and thought "wouldn't it be cool to have a swordfight going along to it?" 2018-08-01 21:03:30 +0000 UTCBang on 500 words and hopefully I made it in time haha. Instead of the usual "Save the Comment" reply I though it'd be fun to add a "Best to Worst" for all the Campaigns in the Call of Duty series (in my opinion of course). Call of Duty 2 -> Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare -> Call of Duty: Black Ops -> Call of Duty 1 -> Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare -> Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 -> Call of Duty: Black Ops II -> Call of Duty: WWII -> Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare -> Call of Duty: World At War -> Call of Duty: Black Ops III -> Call of Duty: Ghosts -> Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
2018-08-01 20:22:41 +0000 UTCHello Brandon & Damiani, hope you're both doing well. I wanted to use my comment this month to make a case for something that is often disregarded within a certain franchise. The Single Player campaigns in the Call of Duty franchise. It’s no secret that this series has shifted its focus from single player to multiplayer, arguably starting since Modern Warfare 3. With the latest instalment, Black Ops 4, removing the campaign entirely to focus solely on co-op/multiplayer. I found this news to be personally disheartening as I am a fan of the series solely for the single player campaigns. It all started around 2 years ago when I was browsing through Steam and found several of the earlier games in the series on offer, as such I figured it would be fun to commit to a full on Call of Duty campaign marathon. All the games available on Steam in chronological order from Call of Duty 1 to Call of Duty Infinite Warfare. When all was said and done I found that I had gained a new found respect for the series. The earlier entries are a far cry from the bombastic indulgence that is synonymous with the series, while not being subtle in the delivery or messaging there’s genuine passion and sincerity that oozes from every aspect. Paying tribute to these soldiers and the bravery that was showcased; elevating them to mythical heights is what drives these early titles. Several highlights in these older games speak to this quality lending it an enjoyable sense of charm and honesty, this backed by incredibly tight gunplay makes these games a blast to revisit. Whilst newer entries in the franchise often present this sense of patriotism as misaligned and overblown there are plenty of aspects that help elevate every title in the series. Whether it be the uncompromising brutality of World at War, the existential experimentation of Black Ops 3 or the sci-fi space adventure vibes of Infinite Warfare. I feel that having the right mindset can help when looking at this series and when playing it also. Whilst yes there have been games in this series that have defined the genre, not all of them are going to garner the same reverence. But that’s OK. There are certainly better single player games out there than what you’ll find in most of this series, sometimes though it’s nice to fall back to something comfortable and familiar. I’m sure every has their own personal comfort game or series, whether they be swimming in 7’s or masterpieces of a genre. Since going through that initial marathon I found that this series is just that, a comfort series. Something I can come back to, relax with. Something I can enjoy as a finely crafted spectacle of military bravado and excess, all with precisely tuned gunplay and impressive set pieces. Something comfortable and familiar. Hopefully this helped shed some light on this perspective of the franchise and as always, much Love & Respect. Jack Price

2018-08-01 07:41:03 +0000 UTCIn past instances, I used my monthly „Patreon-voice“ either to highlight an underrated gem which I played or to give a personal perspective on a popular game. However, this month none of the games I played really gave me an inspiration for this showcase – so I want to talk about a game that I am playing almost every day for the last two and a half years, except for two weeks of honeymoon: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes. I am fully aware that GoH can be used as a negative example for a lot of business practices and game mechanics that give mobile games a bad reputation: Almost everything you try to accomplish (leveling up troops, performing better in raids or simply getting new characters) requires a lot of grinding or money. That being said, EA still made an above average mobile game that is fun to play and let’s be honest: it can’t be that bad if I return to it on a daily basis. In my opinion GoH excels in the following three design principles: 1) A constant feeling of accomplishment: Since you have multiple currencies which have different “outcomes”, I am always working towards multiple goals at the same time. 2) An almost never-ending amount of short-term and long-term goals: Especially the introduction of the new quest system gave even high level players crazy long term goals. 3) A great balance of the minimum and maximum time investment per day: If I do not have a lot of time, I can finish my dailies a roughly 15 minutes - but if I want to I can spend 2 hours or more (especially with guild raids). Moreover, I have to commend EA for a pretty consistent output of new characters. I may not like most of them (e.g.: why are they forcing KoToR characters in the game when General Hux, C-3P0 and other character from the movies are still missing), but a lot of people in my guild love them. As I already said: I know that the game is far from perfect and there is a lot of room for improvement concerning the business model. Whenever I waste a whole day of “grinding material” without getting the gear I need, I am frustrated with the RNG. However, it is the only mobile game so far that did not bore me after a few weeks or tries to get my attention every hour, which is an accomplishment from my point of view. And that’s basically it. I just wanted to give a shout out to Galaxy of Heroes and Capital Games / EA Mobile for giving me short bursts of meaningless enjoyable dopamine each day.

2018-08-01 04:31:30 +0000 UTCI ended up going back to the SNES classic this past month. I decided to revisit Super Mario World. Still a fun game. After beating that, I decided to play something I never had before. It was time to give Super Metroid a whirl. Now, I haven't had much experience with the Metroid series outside of Smash. I remember getting Metroid Prime for Gamecube back when that game first came out. Played the first level, and then shortly lost interest during the second level. Maybe some desert level? I don't know, it wasn't that memorable. What I do remember though is that it was the first time in my life I said "I don't have time for this." An expletive might have followed. Anyways, played Super Metroid, and... I really enjoyed it. Wall jumping was bit crap. Even once I got the hang of it, there was an audible sigh any time I had to do it. Also, the last power-up where you spin and can air jump was also a bit dumb. Everything else was great. The music was top notch. Aside from the two things mentioned, the controls were great. It was a fun time. It was a good way to kill time before the game I wanted this month came out. A Switch game, no less. Captain Toad Treasure Tracker. Never picked it up when it came out on Wii U. It seemed like a fun time to kill a little time on a lunch break or something. I have enjoyed what I played and am in no rush to complete it. Few levels here, few there. Luckily, soon after that, the Plus update for Sonic Mania came out. That game is still fantastic and I loved playing through the new mode as well as the original mode with the two new characters. I ended the month with playing the latest, and I believe final, DLC for South Park: The Fractured But Whole. It was pretty much classic South Park, and that worked for me. I had fun of it. Lots of fun little nods to the horror movie genre as well. Not much else to say. It was just a fun way to kill a few hours. Gamescom is next month, so I wonder what news will come from that. I'm hoping to hear actual news on One Piece: World Seeker since there will be a playable demo at Gamescom. I've recently been on a kick with the series due to how great the latest chapters have been that I've even started to reread the series once again due to how recent developments give a new perspective on the world as well as how earlier chapters can be perceived. The story is what makes the series so great and why length hasn't slowed it down, which is why I really want to find out what the story is for the upcoming game. I'd also love a release date, or release window, for Dreams. That'd be nice.

2018-08-01 01:32:41 +0000 UTCHey Jones and Damiani! Hope you guys are feeling recuperated after that wild E3. Loved your coverage and videos and realized this was the first E3 where my initial viewings of the press conferences were your reaction videos. Not only that、I’d be simultaneously watching with a fellow Ally, my best friend from back home in Canada (I’m currently teaching in Japan) through voice chat. Between having my friend to bounce things off of and listening to your commentary, it was a great way to experience them! I would like to use my community comment to shout-out a video game related Youtube series. To establish a quick point of reference, these videos are created and directed by the same guy who made Real Life Smash Bros which was a huge hit with me and my buddies back in Highschool around ten years ago. Since then he’s been fairly quiet until releasing what I now believe to be his magnum opus, Battle Mode Royale. Now, some people’s minds might immediately go to Fortnite or the current Battle Royale craze but let me make it clear, this series isn’t in response to that and began back in October 2015. It plays out more like the 2000s Battle Royale film except all the characters are from video games. This includes the heavy hitters like Mario, Bowser, Snake and Sonic but also some surprises like Tom Nook, The Minecraft Guy and Cool Spot. It’s a gleefully stupid series and really needs to be seen to believe. It’s super cheesy, super violent, super low budget and super stupid but me and my friends laugh our butts off with every new episode. It definitely won’t be for everyone but I really see Bigzeef (not sure the filmmakers actual name) as an auteur of the stupid and low budget. Some of the effects he creates with props and green screens truly blow my mind with their creativity or purposeful lameness. I really can’t think of anything to compare this series to as far as the humour goes, it really is an oddity. Just keep in mind, when I say it’s stupid I mean it’s like….really stupid. Also if you’re enjoying aspects of the first few episodes stick with it. I’d say it definitely picks up in episode 6 when the killing game officially begins. The main reason I’m shouting this guys series out is that I feel it’s criminally under viewed for the effort him and his team put into each episode. To put things in perspective, his memey hit Real Life Smash Bros has almost 2 and a half million views while each episode of Battle Mode Royale has only about 500-2000 views per episode. The series finale should be dropping any day now so it’s the perfect time to catch up! Thanks so much for reading my comment and keep up the brilliant work!
2018-08-01 01:32:12 +0000 UTCHello Brandon, and hello Damiani! It's me again, the obnoxious Homestuck fan! (I'm just kidding, of course, no hard feelings. Though I have to say, what were the odds of me bringing up Homestuck during the one time that someone who not only knew about it but actively disliked it, was on the show? Small world.) Last showcase, I talked in length about Octo Expansion, (and even then I don't think it ACTUALLY came across how much I adored that experience) so much so that I didn't even to have time to get to the star of the show: The Octolings! After 1111 days since the release of the original Splatoon, the eight-legged cephalopods are finally playable, and they aren't just reskins of the inklings. They have completely unique idle, walking, and victory/lose screen animations and even unique animations for when you're trying out gear in the shop. Their quieter, cooler demeanour makes them contrast nicely with the energetic, and excitable inklings. Not that it stops them from being a bit silly every now and then, too, like with their victory screen pose with the brella weapons where they play air guitar on the folded umbrella. I've got other things to talk about as well, though! It's not just all Splatoon this time, despite that being my favourite subject. About two weeks ago, Enter The Gungeon received a massive update titled Advanced Gungeons and Draguns. This update rebalanced the game's loot system, introduced new enemies and bosses, new guns and a ton of other stuff. All of this was very welcome, the loot changes in particular, as I always found Gungeon to be a very polished game bogged down by painfully slow progression and a stinginess that felt very out of place considering how the game sold itself on all of its wacky guns and items. Sadly, even with the more generous loot system, I still think it's a bit too stingy, a fact not helped by a lot of potential guns and items being so bad that they aren't worth the effort to begin with, and that the game actually has systems in place to stop you from becoming too overpowered. The developers, Dodge Roll Games, hinted that they might have one more update in the future, and what I'd like them to do for that one is take a step back and consider what they want their game to be: a tough-as-nails, merciless bullet hell game, or a wacky top-down shooter about collecting as many insane guns as possible, and then balance in from the ground up accordingly. Because right now, it teethers between the two, and can often become a bit of a slog as a result. Don't get me wrong though, despite all of this I still like Gungeon a ton and would recommend it to anyone up for a challenge. That's all for now, but as an aside, could you remind me which Allies liked Warframe? I have something planned I'd like to do on a future showcase that involves it. Love & Respect, Small Leviathan

2018-07-31 17:42:19 +0000 UTCHi Allies! Today I am presenting a short little 8-bit funk demo for my growing artist portfolio. I didn't have too much time this last month, but manage to squeeze this composition between two amazing games I had the pleasure of playing this month that I think deserve more attention: Moss VR and Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice. I am gearing up to visit Los Angeles this upcoming week and am super excited to finally get a proper vacation! 2018-07-31 16:27:40 +0000 UTCHello, Damiani and Jones! I once again return to the community showcase bringing a review on a game I’ve recently played for the first time that has something to do with the allies. I wasn’t sure what to bring this month. I can’t think of a lot of games I haven’t played that I associate with Damiani But looking back on what I finished this year, I found the perfect option. A game praised as one of the best ever made, and one Damiani even brought to the Hall of Greats for nomination. The game I will be discussing today is Shadow of the Colossus! I’ve known about Shadow for quite a long time now. But with how much hype was surrounding this game, I was afraid that it wouldn’t live up to the expectations. Not to mention since I already knew what the ending was before playing it, any impact the story would have left was sure to be diminished. That being said, I wouldn’t hesitate to say that Shadow of the Colossus was one of the best games I’ve ever played. I’ve always had a fascination for other boss rush games, so the immediate concept for Shadow was already enticing. What surprised me the most about this game was how much emphasis and grandeur is given to each colossus, yet every fight in the game is pretty short. The challenge wasn’t so much finding the weak points as it was finding a way to get there. I felt good finding the critical openings for most of the beasts before the Dormin hints pointed me in the right direction. But had I known I could do so, I would have turned them off completely, as for some others it hurt being told to do something I had already figured out on my own, or have the surprise spoiled while searching for a good route. That wasn’t the only thing that annoyed me. I found the “open world” of the game to be rather tiring to traverse after the halfway point. But I only think this is a minor issue, since the world is so beautiful. Especially on the PS4. I ended up loving the game so much that I decided to get the most out of this game and aim for the platinum trophy. I’m happy to say I succeeded! I’m unhappy to say that it was something I regret doing. Over the multiple playthroughs, every part of the game became less special, and I feel like I was missing the point of the game entirely. It’s been a few months since I got the platinum and have not gone back to play the game since, and have no desire to for the immediate future. But Shadow of the Colossus is a game that I still loved from start to finish. It was exactly the game I expected it to be with a few things that were a bit different than I imagined. I recommend anyone with a chance to play it do so. And hopefully it will one day be recognized as one of the greats. -Love and Respect -ChrisTheFields
2018-07-31 16:21:29 +0000 UTCHey Jones and Damiani, Boy this month totally flew by. Not too many exciting things to report about, but let’s dive in. I’m 45 hours into Witcher 3 and I’m still constantly surprised by that game. However, after finishing the quest line with Triss, I needed to take a bit of a step away. First, I dove into The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit. I really enjoyed playing through this little adventure, which I was a bit surprised about. I got to the 3rd episode of Life is Strange and had to put it down because the dialogue put me off and felt like the writers didn’t actually know how teenagers talk. Captain Spirit felt much more natural and felt relatable, so I’m really looking forward to Life is Strange 2. It has even convinced me to give the original another shot. Next, I keep coming back to Injustice 2. Even though I have never done online multiplayer, it still has its hooks in me. It was during this time that I hit a personal milestone, my 500th trophy. Considering the bulk of my trophies have come over the last year and a half, I felt pretty good about that. I have been doing matches with characters I haven’t devoted a lot of time to and it is still so interesting how differently they control. That said, I’ll probably always main Black Canary. And finally, something I picked back up after watching some of the Game Day streams, Korg Gadget. I’m still not good, but I’m experimenting with different tempos and beats to see what I can put together. It is shocking how much time passes when you get sucked in on making a song. For something that appears so simplistic on the outside, the amount of freedom you have in it is fascinating. For the upcoming month, I’ll be popping back into Witcher to continue making progress. If I need another break, we’ll have to see what strikes my fancy. My friend has been begging me to give Mass Effect Andromeda another chance, so I might pick it back up. Love and Respect, Kyle “GOTYlocks” Lee

2018-07-30 23:55:28 +0000 UTCHey guys, I'm continuing my educational series about my most played Overwatch heroes, designed for viewers that know very little about this multiplayer game I love so much. This time it's about the scientist ape, Winston. Although he's in the tank category, I hope I can illustrate how he doesn't function like most tanks in the usual sense for a videogame. Apologies if there's not a lot of audio for the gameplay - my in-game voice is often very loud, which would interfere with my voice over added for this video. <a href="https://youtu.be/Snmy1tQUxmM" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://youtu.be/Snmy1tQUxmM</a>

2018-07-30 16:52:35 +0000 UTCHi Brandon and Damiani! I had a lot of free time this summer, and I decided to rewatch the Easy Livin' stream of last year. With this year's Easy Livin' stream approaching, I thought it would be appropriate to send you some graphs I made for fun while I was watching last year's stream. <a href="https://twitter.com/MaxVsthegame/status/1023970877053063168" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://twitter.com/MaxVsthegame/status/1023970877053063168</a> Basically, those graphs show the total of deaths by games and by allies, as well as the total number of hours played by each ally. Note that the death count might bave some mistakes. It was pretty hard to keep track since there was so many death and chat was sometimes counting more deaths than there actually was. Are you thinking of using the same bot to count death this year too? If you want to have some fun with the graphs, you can try to guess: - Which game had the most deaths? - Which ally had the most deaths? - Which ally played the most? I can't wait to watch this years's Easy Livin' in a few weeks. Counting deaths was a lot of fun, so I hope this is something you'll do as well this year. I know the schedule hasn't been released yet, but do you think it will be even more deathly than last year? Keep up the good work! L&R

2018-07-30 07:43:48 +0000 UTCHey guys. Still can't wait for Valkyria Chronicles 4, DMC5, and KH3 among other things. Super close! I'm at a wait-and-see stage with most of the fall blockbusters - won't commit to anything unless it is deemed worth my time after release Since Damiani is on this month I thought I'd switch it up a little and share an old clip from Platinum's best action game to date. I really enjoy the emphasis on strong defense while maintaining offense, and find the mechanics even more satisfying to use than Bayonetta's dodges when you get it right. Here's a little piece from my old no damage runs, using an unlockable item that kept my energy gauge full so I could make the fight a little quicker. I've done every fight in the game with no damage, including on the hardest difficulty, and it's endlessly satisfying figuring out how to make it work in a way that even DMC, Bayonetta, and Ninja Gaiden can't quite match. <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sy1PPW9Jdfw" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sy1PPW9Jdfw</a>

2018-07-30 06:34:45 +0000 UTCHey Jones and Damiani, Let me start by saying I am a new fan after having Hall of Greats recently recommended to me by Youtube. After that I binge-watched the rest of Hall of Greats as well as the Trial of Kyle Bosman and A Concert for Brad. I quickly became a fan of your content. Despite formerly being a hardcore PC masterrace (and switch) gamer, I decided to pick up a refurbished $180 ps4 to play the exclusives such as God of War and the upcoming Spider Man. While 30fps 1080p was quite jarring as I was used to 100+ fps in 1440p it was not a significant downgrade considering I purchased the console for 1/10th of the price as my overkill pc gaming rig. I also found myself addicted to trophies. Steam on PC does not reward the player for going after achievements like the PS4. It is a strange feeling considering I know nobody cares about my trophy level except me, but I feel the desire to raise it higher and higher. So much so, that currently if a game is available on both ps4 and pc, I choose the ps4 version so I can get those trophies. It has gotten so bad that I have even played through the mediocre interactive drama, Heavy Rain, 3 times to get the platinum because it was free through PS+. After Detroit: Become Human, you can easily see how bare-bones Heavy Rain is. I have only had the ps4 for a few months, but I plan on upgrading to a ps4 pro so that I can solve this 30fps issue and then maybe I will go almost exclusively to the ps4 pro for gaming. My friends are still on PC, so I will probably continue to play multiplayer focused games such as Anthem and Monster Hunter World on PC. While I know Kyle shares the love for achievements, I was wondering how you felt about going out of your way to get achievements or even 100%/platinum a game. Thanks for the amazing content. I’m hoping to become active in this community as it seems like such a wonderful place to discuss games. I am STAMPEDEofTURTLES on Twitch and Youtube. L&R, Ryan

2018-07-30 06:25:21 +0000 UTCJones and Damiani, I heard you may be watching the EVO Grand Finals on stream. This is a huge deal to me personally. The fighting game community needs more eyes on it and is incredibly entertaining even at the lowest level so I’d be happy to blow my sunday watching every possible Grand Final. Personal favorite game to watch is Tekken 7 as Tekken has been a part of my life since I got my first demo disc. (Tekken 2 was included and you could only play as King and Lei Wulong) King is still my favorite character all these years later! I am definitely hoping a King makes it to Top 8. The camaraderie of the FGC is something that can’t be described, with the exception of Smash players (they kinda do their own thing) as I discovered at a great tournament that is held 45 minutes from my home, Combo Breaker! People who could hardly speak english were open to not just talk to fans best they could but teach them as they waited out their spot in pools. These weren’t just mid tier players either. Koreans like Knee (The current best Tekken 7 player) were sitting down with novices and watching their play style and teaching them the ropes as he observed. And regardless of what camp you fell into for your game of choice everyone was so welcoming. Guilty Gear fans were sitting with Skull Girl players talking about how much it sucks to drop a combo. It was inspiring. The venue was 24/7 as well so if you were looking for a casual game or a money match you’d have to blind not find one. I’m gonna wrap up this rant on my love of the FGC with a recommendation to check out a tournament in your area (wherever that may be) and just dive headfirst into the culture that is fighting games! Go JeonDDing I hope your Eddy Gordo takes you far in EVO. Love and Respect to you both and to all the Allies!

2018-07-30 02:42:40 +0000 UTCHey Jones and Damiani! Bit of a departure for me this month. Ian inspired me to get into synths - and specifically to pick up Korg Gadget. Here's a song I made in Gadget - it doesn't have too much Ezra creeping in, but it maybe has just a smidgeon of Zelda. <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZ5YtHdxQ-s" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZ5YtHdxQ-s</a>

2018-07-30 00:52:37 +0000 UTCHey TrailerJones! Hey damianicus! For the up to four people interested in Fandom Born of Apathy, I'm sorry to say that I have officially moved it to "it will be done when it's done" territory. So, per Jones' recent marketing advice, I'm going to stop talking about it until I have something new to say. As a result of this, my posts for the foreseeable future will be shorter and more off the cuff than the obsessively edited, max word count reaching, "what is this, an essay?" style of post I was initially expecting to become tolerated for. Since one of my main goals here has always been to resist the urge to disappear back into the comfort of lurkerhood, I will continue to say something every month even when I have nothing to say. I will try my best not to be boring. For the record, and sorry my previous attempts at establishing this were so confusing, the N. in my name is meant to be silent. Thank you for your time, Eli N. Peters P.S. it just occurred to me that Damiani might feel a bit left out by such a continuity heavy post, so I'll say this to him: you are absolutely right about Kingdom Hearts III.
2018-07-30 00:50:14 +0000 UTCHello Jones and damiani In Ohio right now visiting family Ive played some games before I left but I figured I’d just come with another movie to recommend, and don't worry it’s not as intense as last time. This movie is called Velvet Goldmine. This is a 1998 British-American drama film directed and co-written by Todd Haynes and stars Ewan McGregor,Christian Bale,Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and Toni Collette. This movie is set in a fictional 1984, british journalist Author Stuart (Christian Bale) is tasked to write an article about the withdrawal from public life of 1970s glam rock star Brian Slade (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) by interviewing those who had a part in his career, including his ex wife Mandy (Toni Collette) and American rock star Curt Wild (Ewan McGregor) Through them stuart begins to find out where the rock star has gone and why he disappeared from the public. While also getting a glimpse into his own past, his connections to the musician, and how his music influenced him. I can only describe this movie as a dazzling love letter to the era of glam rock. The director expertly blends the electrifying theatricality, sexual freedom, and musicality of the era in a fresh reimagining of the 70’s while still keeping the dramatic elements. The camera work is stunning, the costumes are gorgeous, and the acting is expressive. The soundtrack is a perfect blend of originality and familiarity, it encapsulates the genre of glam while still being original and breaking the mold. As for flaws the film is very dream like, Some scenes can be a bit out of order because they are told by the different characters through flashbacks and I know that can be frustrating for some. I’ve also seen some people call it shallow, I personally don't feel that way but I can see why. With the way the story is structured it can be kinda hard to connect with certain characters and doesn't dive extremely deep into some of them. However, I love it. The music is great, it’s original, and it’s fun to see these powerhouse actors work with each other. I recommend this to anyone who loves that genre of music. Thank you Allies for another month of quality content. You guys never cease to put a smile on my face even when i'm having rough day! Stay humble.

2018-07-29 21:29:03 +0000 UTCThanks to all the Nintendo Switch sales during the month of July, I finally purchased the system. I haven't gotten the heavy hitter games like Mario Odyssey or Zelda Breath of the Wild yet, because I imagine I can get them at sale down the road. The first game I got was "Layers of Fear" as it was on sale in the eShop the night I received the system. I have since picked up Fire Emblem Warriors, Shining Resonance Refrain, Sonic Mania Plus, and Octopath Traveler. I realized my mistake was getting such long games, as at the moment I am mainly playing the system in short bursts throughout the week. I find that I'm switching between games less frequently than I expected to. Octopath Traveler is currently taking up most of my playtime and I am deeply enjoying how serene it makes me feel.

2018-07-29 21:25:19 +0000 UTCHi Brandon and Damiani, I wanted to share one of my gaming events this month that were very special. I've been playing Star Citizen for a couple months (The big kickstarted Space Sim game) and a have been part of a organisation (clan) since a while back. Couple of weeks ago after a tragic accident we lost one of our highly regarded members. In order to honour his memory we got together and had a "memorial flight" through the universe. We all gathered on Port Olisar where we then did a tour to all the moons in the system that currently are available in the game. It was an awesome evening where we all sat in Discord and brought up happy memories we have had as an organisation and a lot of tears were shed. I have (after approval) put in a link with a couple of the screenshots that we took. Do note that all of this were done without any loading screens which I think are kinda cool. <a href="https://imgur.com/a/l1BZwOs" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://imgur.com/a/l1BZwOs</a> Best Regards, Lotias

I was overweight, bullied and ridiculed by other kids. One of my happiest moments that I still remember to this day was my parent introducing me to gaming. I was walking home from school a typical day and walked into the house to hear my parents laughing like crazy. I ran into the living room to see my mother and father on the floor playing Action Biker on C64 it was the year 1986 and I was 6 years old. With opening pandoras box and introducing me to gaming really took a big turn for me. It was an escape from all the bad things around me. At school bullying continued and even some of the teachers had there fun. Saying that I should not waste my time with games, I was to fat. Because I was spending most of my time in my room also gaining more weight not getting good grades my parent also started to not really support what I was doing. Well I tired my best to figure out what I wanted to do, gaming and computers went hand in hand, so I went to a technical gymnasium for 3 years and got my degree and specialized in Computer Science. Didn’t get great grades because it was not focused we still had to do the essays math etc. One of the worst things that happened was at the last day of exams. I came out and passed which meant I could get my degree. My father was there, and he told me he didn’t believe that this could turn into a job. I failed many times and spend at least 5-6 years figured out stuff but in 2008 I graduated as a 28-year-old IT Supporter and came out with a grade A and the top of my class. I have kept working hard and worked my way up the corporate ladder to a possession where I make a decent living and can buy stuff that I want and Travel more. In 2014 I had worked on myself and my job. I lost both my parents and only had my brother and sister left. I was 110 lbs lighter so me and my sister to a trip to Florida. During the trip I saw for the first time the BTTF DeLorean and it was a moment that I will never forget and is the first picture. The second picture is of an Orca and it’s via a glass they had below one of their tanks. It really took an interest to me, so the picture turned out great. The third pic is of a view from the hard rock café in Miami. I was having a beer and thinking about how I got here and how happy I am right now. Now why all the personal stuff up to some stupid pics you say? I want to encourage people that are watching and, in our community, that if what you do makes you happy then don’t list all the naysayers! Don’t let people get you down! If what you do makes you happy DO IT! Don’t give up on figuring out what you want to do it can take a long time for someone and that is OK. Life is short and that’s why we should strive to be happy all the time and do what makes us happy. L&R Fettouhi

2018-07-29 16:45:00 +0000 UTCHey Jones and Damiani. I feel like I am very ill prepared this month as we are still in the very small quiet period of the year and I have been mostly focusing my time on Manga and a bit of Anime. I have been getting ahead of the anime in Attack on Titan as my local library has heaps of the manga volumes and boy to fans of the anime, you are in for a treat. It is an interesting story to follow in the development of the Manga as the creator was under intense stress due to the meteoric success of the original books and the show, so he was forcing himself to pump out scripts and drawing panels, leading to what he said, was not his best work *although what I have read, I have loved - political intrigue is awesome* so I am doubly intrigued to watch the Anime as it comes out as the original creator has asked the show runners to rearrange and rewrite certain parts of season 3 to be better quality. Very interesting. Now on to the games. This is the month commonly known as Octo month. I am loving Octo Path Traveller! I can see all of this games short comings from a story telling aspect and I am upset that your *protaganist gets locked in your party (sorry Alfyn you are just not as good as Tressa or Cyrus - my 2 other picks I was hovering between) but my God I love that Square chose the Nintendo stance on video games. Make gameplay feel good. I don't think it can be overstated that this is the first rpg that you can't mash A through. Every fight is a dance with the D-pad and some important R buffs and that is what I game for - engagement. I also love the multi-job system that makes my cyrus a self sustainable mage and merchant, and allows my Alfyn to protag any party composition with the right choice. I love this game for what it is and love the new job styles and character specific traits. Tressa is the best shonen style rpg character ever. She is so positive and it is showcased in her move set as well - trade BP hype. Have you guys heard about the dancer RNG fun people have been having? It has to do with a move that makes little sense to have on paper. the last thing I would love to say about this game that makes me smile is having Tressa and Therion in my party, going into the steal menu - oh 45% chance...hmmm let's try purchase with Tressa $50,000! Therion let luck be a lady tonight. *I hope this edit gets in. Since Damiani is on I needed to get this off my chest. Banjo Kazooie is probably my favourite 3D platformer and I recently *almost* finished Yooka Laylee. I thought since you love Mario 64 so much that your review was slanted due to your predaliction but I was wrong. From a design and control stance, Yooka Laylee is a bad game, I actually think it is worse than your score and I am sorry I doubted you. Well done on the Able Gamers stream.

2018-07-29 16:17:45 +0000 UTCGood High Noon Jones, Damiani, and Chat. So my comment to submit this month is committed to mostly one game with a sprinkle of others. This month saw my return to the Super Mario Odyssey: Quest for 999 Moons. After bout two hours I have now collected a cool 791. Then. It had to end. As I posted last month I had a mission to start Kingdom Hearts and the other KH games in my attempt to Platinum them all before the release of Kingdom Hearts III in January. I have put about 30hrs in so far. Then. That too... had to end. I then moved on to LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. The game is a WAY bigger improvement over LEGO Jurassic World in terms of it's open world, its combat and its untethered story and its use of its characters. After the third chapter ended and the open world became available I was eager to discover every inch of Manhattan to reveal more super heros for me to encounter. Once again. That too... had to end. So what do you may ask what happened last month that killed all movement on all the games I mentioned above? What event in video games could possibly have me commit every single day in the month of July upon its release? It's a game highly touted, widely popular, and has almost every allie playing it on a weekly basis. That game, my freinds, is Fortnite. To be honest, I didn't buy into the hype. I didn't believe the unprecedented zeitgeist around it. I decided to jump in with both feet into Fortnite's Battle Royal mode with the start of Season 5. Safe to say I am addicted to this game. I may not be the most skilled player on the map on any given match. But I am willing to jump right back in to fray. I then both the Founders pack and plan on playing Save the World very soon. I hope all the allies have wonderful August and I will be join you all for Easy Livin'. L&R everyone. #All50.

2018-07-29 16:09:15 +0000 UTCHello Jones and Damiani. I know asking someone to watch something is never going to work, but I want to try anyway. I am sorry if this kind of submission is in any way inappropriate or annoying, but this is my first time posting for the Community Showcase and I am very passionate about this topic It is also just really fun to write about something I really care about. Damiani, I am so happy hearing about your Dragon Ball endeavours. Watch/read One Piece. This is a message for everyone watching as well. If you like Dragon ball and Naruto then you'll definitely like One Piece. It is one of the greats. As far as I know, none of the Allies are caught up (maybe Brad?) but I know many of you could really enjoy it and so I'm trying to make a push here. One Piece is a story about chasing your dreams, going on an adventure, and making new friends along the way. We follow Monkey D. Luffy on his journey to find the One Piece and become the Pirate King. There are emotional back stories, crazy battles, and really cool plot twists. Oda (the author of One Piece) does a great job with creating unique worlds taking inspiration from so many places including recent references to Alice in Wonderland. Because the story involves travelling to different islands, there are always opportunities for crazy, creative settings. By the time you watch all of One Piece you could watch 10-30 other anime depending on their length. One Piece is more than 30 times better than other anime. There is a reason that the One Piece manga is the 3rd best selling comic in the entire world. With over 440 million volumes sold it is just behind Superman and Batman, and it is on track to surpass them in the coming years. The EZAnime episode on One Piece is great, although they really couldn't get into specific details. I'd encourage anyone to check that out to hear Brad and Ben discuss how amazing One Piece is. Youtube.com/EasyAllies Thank you and I am really looking forward to Easy Livin' 2018!

2018-07-29 15:14:13 +0000 UTCFor this month, I want to share something I think about probably WAY too often: I find the reasons behind the reasons of disagreement fascinating. What I mean is, when two people can look at or experience the same exact thing and while there is disagreement and each person has their views, what interests me is WHY they have said views. As an example, I’ll use my favorite video game franchise: Final Fantasy. And more specifically, Final Fantasy VI. I love the series because there is an entry for almost anyone and there are many variations of people’s preferences. There are many, including the gentleman who is kind of enough to read this aloud to all of the internet, who absolutely love VI. And I don’t like it at all. It’s one of only three of the main entries that I’ve played that I couldn’t finish (For reference, I have NOT played 3, 5, 11, and 14). And while two others I hold in worse regard, in terms of VI, I gave it a shot for the very first time in 2016. Games that overload on playable characters have been a major turn off to me, but with a good friend of mine and several others in the gaming industry championing VI, I finally decided it was time to understand what made it so special. By the time I got to Kefka accomplishing his goal, I just wasn’t having fun anymore. Now that I’ve seen it for myself (and I have fun conversations with my friend), I try to understand: What’s the big deal? All of that to say while I may not like it and others love it, and what the respective reasons for those positions are, trying to understand those reasons is where the real growth lies. I’ve asked myself, “Why don’t I like this?” and when I came to my answer, I recognized it’s what I value in what I’m looking for. So, every time when I hear praise of VI, I try not only to listen to the reason, but also pay attention to what gives people those reasons. To finish about VI, I’ve concluded that, for me, it’s simply a generational difference. If I was coherent to what video games were, much less the complex themes and characters that make VI such a standout game, I probably would also adore it. But I was two months away from turning two when it released, so that wasn’t going to happen at the time. Understanding not only why someone holds a position they do and the position itself, but the person’s principles that make those stances, is what makes having conversations involving disagreement an enlightening process. I curate the EZA Forums’ Desire Index and seeing so many diverse orders makes me wonder what each person’s values are for their games. For example, CyberPunk currently reigns as the top desire by being near the top of all lists while Call of Duty is always dead last.

2018-07-29 15:10:57 +0000 UTCHello, Allies I decided to do something over the next few after some thought. I wanted to write a bit about a great game that is not as well remembered as other great games. Games such as UN Squad, Life Force, Total Annihilation, Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones, or my example for this first one, Dragon Quest V. Dragon Quest VIII rightfully is remembered as a great game and maybe someday will end up in the hall of greats. Yet, honestly DQV is just as good of a game as VIII. In fact in some ways it is a superior game to V. V is a game with solid characters. The game party is in a way all about family, fighting the forces of evil with your father or later on your wife and children. The game has a decent enough old school battle system, and a very solid world map. Where the game shines though is the story and then unique story. I will not spoil it, but the game starts when you are born. The game is split up into three parts of your character's life. The first part is about you as a youth, the second part when your a young adult, and the final part is when you are an adult. Each arc has clear starting and ending points. The story has moments of happiness and moments of sadness. It has many mysteries as well, like why were you born in a castle, but lived your childhood in a backwater village. DQV is a game that never came out in the US when it was first released and only came out later on the DS. I played it during a road trip to the coast, where I would drive and when I stopped at night would play it after dinner each day of the trip, till I beat it. It helped make the trip as a whole even more fun for getting to play this great game.

2018-07-29 15:07:00 +0000 UTCHello Mr. Jones and Mr. Damiani! This is my first time submitting to the Showcase, and I'm really proud of this Hollow Knight achievement I just got. I played through Hollow Knight for the first time on the Switch in June and quickly became obsessed. After completing the game casually with 31 hours on the clock and given an 83% completion rating, I went over to the Steam version of the game and browsed what kind of achievements there are. One caught my eye, and it was "Speed Completion: Achieve 100% game completion and finish the game in under 20 hours." I wasn't sure what 100% completion entailed, but I knew I wanted to try. On July 28th, I managed to make it to 100% just a bit before reaching 20 hours, and I was stoked. And with that, I still can't get enough of this game, and am slowly working through with other achievements and more playthroughs. <a href="https://twitter.com/ZatVunDoot/status/1023583191934763009" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://twitter.com/ZatVunDoot/status/1023583191934763009</a>

I was glad it didn't erup while I was there watching this beautiful sunrise, but it sure did 2 weeks later while I was already moved forward. The jersey I'am wearing is from my homeclub 1. FC Köln (Cologne), not the easiest Club to be a fan of, but I got no other chance but to love it ^^

2018-07-29 14:28:14 +0000 UTCApologies for the long comment last month, Jones. I recently went on a huge adventure and couldn't create any fan art, but I do have a juggling video that I made that I'm quite fond of. Feel free to crop it to the appropriate length. :D <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUtQEY0Py1o&index=16&list=PLq-tVxkt5XKEzN3RIjVK6htBg4dZcoc-o&t=0s" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUtQEY0Py1o&index=16&list=PLq-tVxkt5XKEzN3RIjVK6htBg4dZcoc-o&t=0s</a> **Not apart of my submitted comment.** Another sincere apology for the long comment from last month, coupled with the art. In my mind it was okay to leave a comment under the limit as well as additional media, but you're absolutely right, it's important these don't take all day to get through and to be fair for all the patrons. 2018-07-29 13:58:23 +0000 UTCHello Allies! Begin correction music, please. Last month, when I said I conquered the Castlevania Evil in The TurboGraphx 16, yeah, sorry; I meant Rondo of Blood in the PC engine. Why did I say TurboGraphx then? I got the game in the TurboGraphx section of the wii virtual console, and given that I hate the name “PC engine”; I got very used to say TurboGraphx when referring to Rondo of Blood. Sorry Jones, didn't mean to freak you out. Stop correction music, please. Now to more important matters, I will take advantage that Mr. Zelda Timeline is there with you to share a little thought that has been in the back of my mind for over a year now; since we finally found out what the heck the Nintendo NX was and started calling it Switch. The Legend of Zelda has been living 2 lives ever since Ocarina of time was released almost 20 years ago; one in 3D in the home consoles and a “true to origins” top/down one in portable systems. Of course there are exceptions to this claim, like Four Sword Adventures for the gamecube or The Ocarina of Time & Majora's Mask remakes for the 3DS, but other than those, the division has been clear. The Switch is this weird chimera that poses as both a home and portable console. It already got a Zelda release that was highly praised and got almost universal acclaim. Can you follow it up with a top down game? Will Nintendo ever release another one of those? How would they price them? Handheld games have always been a little cheaper than their big brother counterparts; and that curse has been laid upon top/down Zelda because of their portable nature. If they decide to go that route eventually, should the games be sold at a lower price point that the fully 3D ones? Will people embrace them like they embraced A Link Between Worlds, or will people be disappointed that it is not the big step forward after Breath Of the Wild? I'm just afraid that if a top/down game is announced, it will get dismissed as “not a Real Zelda game” like it happened to Luigi's Mansion in the gamecube, New Super Mario Bros. U for the wiiU and even Super Mario 3D World. Seriously, Super Mario 3D World is as good as it gets, but for many people, the follow up to Galaxy didn't come up until Odyssey in the Switch. Could audiences be pleased with a top/down game in the Switch? Only time will tell whether there is still room for top/down Zelda in this Switched world; but I sure hope it is not delegated to the deeps of the sacred realm and forgotten. Love and Respect. César.

2018-07-29 13:44:23 +0000 UTCHello I can never think of anything good to write or do for these but I pay for them so I suppose I'll write whatever. Looking forward to Easy Livin', the 18th is my birthday and it's gonna feel good to spend it with the Allies. Keep up the good work!

2018-07-29 10:27:53 +0000 UTCHello! Great job on the Game Day stream! I've been watching a lot of the speedrunning events, as well, and it's really amazing how gamers can do what they love to support great organizations. I recently found myself with an abundance of free time. Instead of playing games, I've been trying to learn code and better my art. These streams and their VODs have been great for the work time. My fanart submission: <a href="https://twitter.com/TysonDNguyen/status/1023500833307152389" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://twitter.com/TysonDNguyen/status/1023500833307152389</a> I made this while watching the game day stream. The original concept was just Benzilla facing the three monsters from the new movie, but I decided to make it a bit more gamey since "King of the Monsters" worked with Monster Hunter. Appreciate all that work you guys do and good luck with everything! P.S. Ploplet's demise saddens me greatly. *End of Comment Note: I wasn't sure if there was an email to reach or to message you on twitter, but I actually ordered a poster of my art to be mailed to the P.O. box. Since I am unknowing of how to mail things myself, I just had it mailed directly from the printers. No clue when it will get there, but hope you guys like it!

2018-07-29 10:03:53 +0000 UTCI love Damiani, but I was hoping for Blood, since I really want to talk about Detroit Become Human.

2018-07-29 09:17:06 +0000 UTCHello Brandon, hello Michael! As active industry members, I’m sure you saw all kind of weird gaming promotions. But I bet that my story will still surprise you. Several years ago Dying Light was released. I like Mirror’s Edge, but I’m not a huge fan of zombies, so this game wasn’t on my radar. Until I saw a dream. It was a night time and I and several other people were returning to our base with some loot. Soon we heard a pack of zombies heading towards our current position. We were in the middle of the field, and there weren’t anything high to climb or anything strong to barricade. Luckily, there was a rusty metal container (probably an old train wagon), so we hid under it. We laid on the ground listening to the sound of zombies, and when they weren’t close, we talked a little among each other. But despite all talking and encouragements, the atmosphere was extremely heavy, because we knew: if we try to move, we’ll die. So we laid under this metal container and waited for the sunrise. I have no idea why I saw this dream. I have only a couple of dreams a year, and very few of them are about video games. I wasn’t thinking about Dying Light, I never played it before and wasn’t intended to. The dream looked nothing like the game I saw in the trailers, and apart from Zombies and day & night cycle there were no connections to the Dying Light’s world. Yet I knew that this dream was about this game. I had no idea why I saw it, but I knew exactly what I needed to do: I’d got to play Dying Light. Of course, I didn’t buy the game. I’m a rational person, and I knew that Dying Light is nothing like my dream, so if I spend money on it, I would be disappointed. But I hadn’t forgotten about it either, so when one year later a free demo was released, I’ve downloaded it immediately and jumped in. As I expected, the game was decent, but it was far from realizing my dream. And that’s the end of my story. I didn’t buy the game and I haven’t discovered something great that I would miss otherwise. The only thing I’ve got from this weird promotion is the promotion itself. But it’s still makes a good story, so it wasn’t for nothing. ***Please pause here, like it’s the end of the comment.*** Update: I wrote this comment back in May. But during E3 2018 Dying Light 2 was announced, and I liked what I saw. Because of that I was able to see Dying Light not as a manifestation of my dream, but as a prequel to Dying Light 2. So I was able to play the game and judge it for what it is. It’s a decent game with fun parkour, but after you’ve learned how to run, the night becomes too safe.

2018-07-29 08:36:36 +0000 UTCHello Brandon and Damiani, Since Damiani missed Q&A I figured I would Catch you on the Community Show Case to get ur thoughts on my question. When EZA becomes as big as IGN what roles do u see ur self's in ? For example , will u be involved in more shows , less shows or behind the scenes of production. L&R

2018-07-29 08:28:57 +0000 UTCHey Brandon and Damiani, this month I picked up a few games in the PSN sales. I am now playing Portal Knights and Wolfenstein: The Old Blood. Portal Knights has been a lot of fun, although I have barely progressed through the levels. I have spent most of my time just building a house on the first island. Wolfenstein is as expected for me. Lots of killing. I am enjoying how often I get to choose stealth though, which feels like a change of pace compared to The New Order. In terms of my games from last month, I stopped on Hitman after finishing an episode, and stopped on Kingdom Hearts and God of War for now. Struggling to keep focused on them for some reason. So instead of clearing hard drive space, I am filling it with more games. I have also been dipping back into Overwatch again. Just passed the 300 hours played mark. The game is getting a little bloated with heroes in my opinion, but still enjoyable overall. I mainly play Mystery Heroes for the variety now (you get a random hero after every death). That is my monthly update. Have a wonderful day and update you again next month. Love and Respect, BeardedScotsman86
