Huber and I are still pumped for Days Gone, even more so after the demo we recently ran through at Judge’s Week. There are definitely technical issues still plaguing this game, and Huber has some concerns about the difficulty, but the world and the people in it are fascinating to explore. We can’t wait until we get the next chance to do so. Here’s a recent chat we had about the ups and downs of this latest zombie-infested open-world, featuring new footage released for E3 2018.

Sony is hitting some consistently with quality first party titles that the delay to Days Gone doesn't bother me in the least bit. We've been showered with great games this generation and if the cost for that is that the studios need to give the games a bit more time in the oven, then I see that as a worthwhile trade off. In the words of a legend who requires no introduction: "A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad."

As Huber would say, let it cook. Then, we can make our judgment on it. Remember, EZA once ruled out Horizon Zero Dawn before release. Their opinion changed completely when the game released

You may want to check out the Game Informer coverage they did this month on Days Gone. I was pretty cold on it before, but the amount of work Sony Bend studios has put into this game the last 6 years is pretty Incredible and for an Alpha build that is 9-12 out it's looking mighty fine. The Zombie Horde and the way they want to make their own type of Open-world game is really interesting. I'm not even big on open-world games personally, but it has suprised me quite a bit over the last few weeks and actually lokking forward to how it shapes out.

I'm very excited for this game. Sure it looks derivative of other games we've seen Last of Us, Horizon weapons wheel blah blah but I think it has huge potential.

i'm guessing it's to limit range, it's an open world but it would be kinda like zoning areas eg u only have this much fuel so u can't just ride to the other side of the map without encountering some serious trouble.

The fact the bike starts with a tiny gas tank is annoying sounding.
