Cup of Jones - June 6, 2018 - Audio

As we get closer and closer to E3, leaks become harder and harder to avoid. At the end of this week's Cup, I talk a bit about the effect leaks/spoilers have on E3 hype, and what we still have left to look forward to. I cannot wait for this year's show. I think it's going to be one for the books. So, a hype-check and a solid 2 hours of business and personal chatter. No Cup of Jones next week. We'll pick this up again soon.

First of all, thanks for everyone's hard work and passionate delivery of E3 reactions and impressions. This was my first time following along in real time (I've known about EZA since this past November) and it was a blast. My questions is this: Given where we are in the current gen/next gen cycle, am I right to be concerned about which console games like Ghost of Tsushima, Death Stranding, Last of Us Part II and Cyberpunk will be released on? I just bought a standard PS4 this past Black Friday, and I don't want to buy a PS4 Pro so close to when the PS5 might come out. Thoughts? L&R

Were you happy Yoshi Switch wasn't shown off at this year's presentation?

Hey Jones, I always have trouble imagining just what the garage looks like, as we usually only see it from specific angles, does any your new tech allow you to take a 360 degree video from the centre of the room?

Okay Jones. So I was listening to the coverage of E3 and you made one of the best points I've ever heard. You said that the biggest takeaway from REmake was the Lisa subplot and all the things they added to make the game better. You told Huber how you honestly did not expect RE2make to be as good because "lightning just doesn't strike twice" in this way. I agree wholeheartedly with your assessment of REmake and RE2 remake. I'm glad this new remake looks so good. Anyways for my question. If there was ANY game that you could have remade from the ground up and improved, another "lightning in a bottle" scenario, what would that game be? This game would take the original and improve on it and literally make it better. This could be a game that you love dearly, or a game you just thought didn't live up to it's full potential.

I hope you're doing well today

Is this where we ask questions? Or pose comments! I just wanted to make a quick note, RE: GTA V - in a recent podcast Mr. Jones mentioned being impressed by the multiple dialog exchanges that will happen enroute to a mission if you fail. I'd like to highlight the INSANE amount of dialog you can engage in when going on activities with friends. For example, Trevor can Pal around with Franklin's friend and the dialog will be about them bonding over their mutual love of Chaos. You can go do something with Michael's son while playing as Franklin, and the dialog of this white boy trying to act cool and hip is hilarious. there's tons of these exchanges and they're all pretty hilarious. Just wanted to highlight as I think it's one of the most underrated features of GTAV.
