Cup of Jones - June 19, 2018

E3 is over! Long live E3! There is still more coverage of the show to come like our E3 Awards Group Stream tonight, the Betting Results Special, and an E3-focused episode of Trailer Jones later this week. It was a big show for the industry, and a big week for us. Thank you for all the recommendations going into the show, and we look forward to all of your feedback now that E3 2018 is in the books. There are a million things I can think of to do better next year. Let's get into it!

Which allies have the option to play vinyl records? (I'm brainstorming for a future package)

Hey Jones, First of congrats on closing in on that 50k goal, My question this week is: with the recent announcement of youtube selling their own membership tier, will eza use this as another revenue source? Good luck on the search for the new studio!

inrainbow09

Just a quick personal. Did you know that Jim Lee is doing art streams on twitch? Super chill watching a master at work. Could be good muted when you are cutting the podcast!

Steven Beaumont

With EZA hitting the 50K goal (congrats!), on the day the studio officially opens, do you think you'll get a chance to sit down in your office and reflect on the journey and struggle to get there? Is there one thing you'd want to tell yourself when you started EZA 2 years ago? Also, make sure to take a picture of the group in front of the studio building. It'll be a memory to keep forever!

Hey Jones, I don't have a question but I want to report on an interesting phenomenon that is happening in my home state of West Virginia. As you all may know, the next Fallout game, Fallout 76, is going to be set in WV. Shortly after this game was presented at E3, the game was reported on several local news channels and was the main topic of discussion among the WV reddit. Coworkers, facebook friends, and other people who have never even played a video game were overcome with excitement with how well the game has portrayed national landmarks from the Capitol Building to the Greenbrier Resort. There was a local meet up at one of the game’s locations, Camden Park, was only supposed to have at most a 100 people attending, balloon into potentially thousands. This has been one of the most positive things that has happened in our state and I feel like one of the most feel good stories for video games I have heard in a while. Just wanted to report on the love and positivity one video game is having. L&R, Andrew

Hey Jones, I'm playing RE4 now and I'm wondering if the RE2 remake have the same aim settings as RE4 and 5. Left stick to aim or is right stick the default now? Congratulations on reaching 50K.

bjørnar haraldsvik

Hi Jones. After reaching the 50k goal and a studio only a matter of time do you guys have any idea of a "theme" of the studio? Do you prefer something more with a garage style (like yours or wayns world like) or a cleaner and modern look? L&R

Hey Jones, can you exlpain why And For That Reason's first episode isn't public on youtube with an explaination that the rest of the episodes are $1 patreon exclusive? It's already publicly viewable on twitch, so it's not like it's technically exclusive right now anyway. The big difference is putting it on youtube would be helping the patreon, potentially a lot. There was a decent bump of patrons when it premiered on twitch with the ~2k watching live, and even if the youtube video only matches that, it'd still be worth it. This seems like another instance of poor communication with your youtube audience. If you search for And For That Reason on your channel, the only thing that comes up is podcasts, not even a promo. What's the point of exclusive shows if no one knows they exist? First one free is usually how stuff behind a paywall works. Give them a taste and leave em wanting more is the whole point. So I'd highly recommend releasing it or better yet making a public version with some added patreon info, as the potential benefits are substantial with pretty much zero downside. PS. Congrats on hitting 50k. You guys really are the best in the biz and deserve all the success, which is why your handling of the youtube audience continues to be quite frustrating. Even so, the generosity of one patron created a tidal wave of support. Don't waste that momentum now. Converting youtube subs with your patreon exclusive shows should be a top priority to stay above that 50k mark. L&R

Sorry about so many questions ahaha I get excited. Business question: Once you guys finally get a studio have you or the Allies have talked about if Don will join full time with y'all? I know his working at fun Haus but I also know he loves you guys or will he just work for both of the companies?

Sekiro505

You might have answered that in some way before but I don't recall you getting into it too much: Do you guys have set working hours? I've always wondered that, since back in the GT times. If you have to play and review a 100 hour RPG or produce a really in-depth Retro, that requires you to play 100s of hours of games how do do you reconcile that with a 40 hour work week? The same with streaming and stuff. Was/ is there a system on how to handle these types of unusual workloads of actually having to play through all those games you are writing and producing videos on. Are "playing hours" handled differently than "writing hours"? Was there ever a structure in place for how long a reviewer should spend on a game? L&R

Hi Brandon! This is my first time writing in, so sorry it’s not a more fun question! I was curious about how you feel regarding a specific, seemingly prevalent fan “Want”. To me, it seems like a lot of fans sort of want EZA to become GT 2.0- which is understandable, that’s where a lot of us followed you from (me included) and how we got to know all of you, and that content is very near and dear to us. However, I know that EZA’s mission was never to /be/ that, and you kind of made that clear when you started. And while this want for GT 2.0 would be a non-issue whatsoever, it seems like people simply can’t let it go, and are intent on bringing it up whenever you guys hit a new milestone of success. For example, now that you’ve hit 50k, many people are asking for Final Bosman back as a new tier, even though Kyle has made it explicitly clear that he doesn’t want to do that and why. I feel like bringing back top 10s is a factor in this as well, since people wanted that for a long time even though you guys didn’t want to do it, but eventually, it seems like you sort of gave in and brought that back. I think this lead people to believe that if they ask for something enough, no matter how much you don’t want to do it, you’ll cave and give it to them, which isn’t the greatest mindset. It might also be part of the nature of being a crowdfunded platform. Now that people have a tangible and direct financial investment in your work, I think they feel more able to ask or demand things of you because they help fund you. And of course, I don’t want to say that patrons can’t make their voices heard or ask for things, because of course they can! But I think there’s a line and demanding that people do something you know they don’t want to do just because you want it and give them money seems, to me, to kind of cross that line. If it doesn’t to you, though, then that’s cool and I’ll just learn to be okay with it 😊 Anyway, wanted to know your thoughts, since personally it gets annoying seeing people only bring up the things you guys have done in the past without just giving you guys room to grow and without acknowledging all the wonderful NEW things you’ve done now that you have total creative freedom. Thanks for all that you do, Casey

Howdy Jones! I recall you getting/asking for some advice from other people in gaming groups like EZA, like Andrea and Greg. Could you share some of what you were told? Anything new or useful?

Parasitepaladin

Can the next Hall of Greats, as well as potentially the previous ones, be uploaded on podcast services in addition to the YouTube upload? (Also I second the request from last week to upload your impressions/commentaries/etc. from E3 and other events to podcast services for increased convenience)

M

Hey Jones any chance that we'll see you cover Lego DC Super Villains closer to release? What did you think from the demo?

I know that Easy Livin is in the early planning stages but how feasible would a live podcast be? It’s great watching you play games but a small break would be nice. Preferably outside around a camp fire.

Henry Ramirez

Hey Jones! Now that we've reached the amount for the studio goal and it's more likely you will be searching for one in the near future, would you ever consider teaming up with Shane over at SIFTD to find a joint, and possibly as a result larger, studio space? They recently got kicked out of their studio because the owner rented the whole floor to a single company, and if you were to work together you may be able to ensure the studio continues even if the money dips occasionally. I love both EZA and SIFTD, and I want you both to succeed, and in my opinion you could both benefit from joining forces in this regard. I would not suggest merging entities or anything, but cross promotion could help SIFTD, and SIFTD could provide some cushion for the rental cost of a studio. L&R!

Mr. Jones, I appreciate your commentary on your traffic frustrations. I have been an emergency worker for several years and have to say it is a real problem. That being said, what real life issues would you like to see tackled in video games in a serious manner? The PC game "That Dragon, Cancer" responsibly dealt with a families struggle with a terminal illness and I really wish there were more games like it. Respectfully, Morgan Mohalla

As I was listening to the audio version of this on my way home from work, I was following a BMW that was CONSTANTLY drifting over the yellow line. This is a horrifyingly common occurrence near me. Two months ago, I was driven off the road by a pickup that was at least a foot over the yellow line on a hill with no shoulder. I hit a rock, which shredded the tire and dented the rim. I think that when roads are paved , the center of the street should be ribbed as the shoulder sometimes is. This will help drivers maintain their lane.

With the equipment available to you now, are you able to display VR games on the green screen where the player appears in the world? I've seen this done on Clueless Gamer and was wondering if that was possible for you guys to do. A VR show with allies taking the knee in various worlds could be a pretty rad show. Just a suggestion.

D.M. Deyo

Jones, I worked in Uber Support for Accidents a bit - what you described regarding car accidents was literally my job. I felt like Batman.

Hey Jones, I'm sure this would have been talked about before so I apologise ahead of time. There seems to be a good amount of difficulty associated with choosing which particular version of a game to bring to Hall of Greats, and It doesn't make sense to me why you would put that limitation in place. For instance the version of SF that got in to HoG was turbo, but it's arguable that the original arcade release was more important, if somebody brought the arcade version now, would it be eligible to get in? I think I recall this problem occurring with Shadow of the Colossus, Damiani brought the remake so it did much worse than it would have otherwise, but they're the same game when you boil it down right? you can attribute the accolades of both versions to "shadow of the colossus". What does the group feel about this rule? It's early enough that the change could still be put in place.

I hate being negative as soon as something this amazing happens. Also congratz duuuuude!

Hi Jones, forgot to post this during E3 week, but it's more relevant for next years E3 anyway. Is there any chance you will review your stream layout and size of windows? I love watching the press conferences along with EZA, but I feel that even on my TV, the conference window is too small. Currently it feels as though there is a lot of wasted space and I feel that the size of the allies could be kept pretty constant, whilst also making the live stream larger. It's just a thought and will continue to watch regardless, but I definitely think the current format could be improved in some way. L&amp;R, Alex. (I have attached an example of a current stream as well as my proposed design) Original: <a href="https://i.imgur.com/N8JnJkn.jpg" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://i.imgur.com/N8JnJkn.jpg</a> Proposed design:<a href="https://i.imgur.com/A2m6aSZ.jpg" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://i.imgur.com/A2m6aSZ.jpg</a>

(think i was too late last week, so let's try again) Hey Jones! With the Easy Living trailer popping up at the end of E3 coverage, time to remind you - can we get extra footage of beachy stuff this time? Something more than just one episode of Easy Update? I loved the Easy Living Easy Update, but I need more. I need you all playing beach volleyball and surfing and building sand castles and skateboarding on the boardwalk! (also, congrats on 50k!)

I find the studio thing interesting because personally.. I really like the feel they have of the "were just some dudes running a video game podcast out of our garage" and I think it is part of what makes EZA so great I never watched during the Game Trailers days so I guess I just don't know what I am missing out on.

ArcticFlamingo

I want to start of with apologizing for my "1 personal 2 business" situation. I am kinda new here, did not know the rules. My apologies. L&amp;R -Johan

I'm floored. You guys hit 50k. My original question was going to be if you were worried about this being just an E3 bump in numbers that would disappear. But everyday, those numbers! They just keep going up. It's awe inspiring. It's happening! 52k by the time of rewriting this, so I'm going to ask about new tiers down the line. Would you consider making a 52k tier even though you've already reached that goal? I know goals are incentives to reach higher, but a 52k goal could be a way to maintain what you have and make sure you don't drop very far below that line. Anyways, I think you should still shoot "What a studio means for us" promo video. L&amp;R

POKEY CLYDE

Hey Brandon! I know you said you plan to have some stretch goals beyond the 50k mark on Patreon, and I thought I'd share something I would definitely enjoy having! My idea is a weekly "Ask an Ally" segment. I imagine it being very similar to Cup of Jones, only with a different ally each week. I love Cup of Jones, because any questions I have will almost certainly be addressed, and though I love you Jones, sometimes it would be great to have other allies take on our questions as well. -Corey

Corey Swafford

Hi Jones, Do you think there will ever be a point where you don't display your monthly revenue on the Patreon home page? I personally really appreciate the transparency. I do think it's poor form in general to crowd source revenue and then hide this figure. What is your general thought on this? Cheers Wesley

Wesley

Hey Jones - Up til now, you've been careful not to promise anything for the studio. But last week, you flat-out said with a new studio comes new shows... and I'll admit I'm skeptical. All of the Allies have at some point said they have no free time and not enough people. That bottleneck's not really addressed with getting a studio, so I can't imagine much changing. The guys will just switch driving from one destination to another. Actually, YOUR commute will go from zero to some, so if anything the total free time will decrease. How optimistic are you that you'll be able to pull off more shows? Will the Allies we willing to work more hours? Or do you plan to sunset current shows? I'd honestly be satisfied if things mostly stay the same, but I'm worried others will complain and cut their pledge if you hype up the studio and nothing really changes but the backdrop. Thanks for the thoughts! ~Adam

Adam

Morning. You said last week that it took you 2 hours or 3 hours to cut the podcast (11:30 pm to 2:30 am). How can it be so long? I'm not an expert but you don't edit the video, especially now that Ian is doing it live. So why is it so long? L&amp;R Aurélien

Aurélien GRANIER

Hey Jones, very excited to see you guys hit 50k as I'm sure you are! One item I wanted to ask, that I'm sure you've thought about or planned for once you hit the studio goal. Imagine a scenario in which the allies have had a studio for a while and have just renewed their (annual?) lease on the space and for whatever reason the money dips too much to maintain that studio. Have you been saving money for a scenario in which you are liable for the payments on the studio for a full year given the desired income may not be there? Hope this is never a situation that happens, but it was the first thing I thought of as we were getting close to achieving the studio goal.

It's probably best to comment on here if you want it seen, but I'd say feel feel to watch it where you like. Video's play like crap for me through Patreon, constant buffering etc. so I always watch on YT.

BeatenDownBrian

Hi Jones, Congratulations on hitting 50k! I dont have as much of a question, but rather a more of a thank you. Thank you for being awesome. Also, recently I was in a need of a vacation but had no idea of what to do. So I started to look around for ideas to what I might do. I just so happen to stumbled upon on of the old cup of jones episodes where you talked about hiking. When I was a kid I spent a lot of time outside with my family in the Swedish forests enjoying the wild life. Now however I have moved to UK, got a job in a office which I love, but the downside is that I dont get out much. My biggest adventure has been to meet a fellow ally for lunch now and then who works close by. Anyway, I started to look for a vacation to go on and thanks to your episodes I decided to take the boat over to Norway and head out into the wild. I ended up in this small town called Olden located in one of the Fjords. I have visited Norway before, but this was something outside the ordinary. with 22 degrees Celsius and sunshine, I walked right into something that can only be described as "walking into a postcard". The mountains, clean rivers and waterfalls were nothing short of breath taking. Something I also realised was how amazing it was to be "cut off" from the outside world and social media for a week. I can't remember last time I felt this relaxed in both mind and body (except for my aching legs). After I've come back I feel so refreshed but it also helped me realise how much we today rely on the internet and the stress of looking good on social media. I now try to take time, even just an hour a day to turn everything off and go for a walk. This has improved my sleep and my state of mind. So thank you so much for inspiring me to take this journey. Also I put 3 of the pictures I took in an album you can find here: <a href="https://imgur.com/a/sbCfd0Y" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://imgur.com/a/sbCfd0Y</a> to see the landscape. Massive Love and Respect, Sebastian, A.K.A Lotiaz

How would you book Ben Moore to be a top WWE wrestl-ähem...WWE SUPERSTAR?

Hi Jones! In the first weeks of Cup of Jones, I remember you saying you would like to have the allies as guest in future episodes and that you would tell us the story about how you met each one of them. I don't expect you to have guests on Cup of Jones, but I would definitely like to hear about your first impression of every ally. To make it simple, if you want, maybe you could tell us the story of one ally per week. It would only be fair to start off with Bloodworth, since I believe he's the one who's been with you the longest, right? How did you meet? What was your first impression? What was your relationship at GT and how did it changed since Easy Allies? Thanks!

MaxVSTheGames

Hi Jones! I know it's been talked to death, but I want to provide what may be a new take on the question of Patreon-exclusive content. If not, please just leave a comment and exclude this from next week's CoJ :) *NOTE* If you do include it you'll probably want to trim the comment, I can be a bit wordy, sorry! I've been following the GT/EZA staff since the beginning of GTTV and IW back in 2008, but I only just committed to a regular Patreon donation. The reason was that I wasn't in a financial position to regularly contribute a set amount for the foreseeable future, and did not want to increase the "dedicated Patreon value" of EZA if I was going to withdraw the next month. Instead, I regularly talked about you guys to my friends, posted links to content, and kept on the lookout for any and all Twitch streams. Now that I am a Patron, I feel like I am getting far greater rewards for much less effort. Every month a set amount of cash is taken out of my bank account automatically. I get an email letting me know about the withdraw, but otherwise I really don't pay much attention or commit to any effort. In exchange, I get early access to shows I love and access to shows to which I previously had no access. Some people do not like Patreon (as you have noted many times), or do not feel comfortable with that level of committment. However, they may do other things like actively subscribe and follow on Twitch or Twitter, or even gave money to the E3 fundraiser. I feel those people are not incentivized or rewarded as much as $5 or even $1 Patrons. Recently, a Patron commented on how his friend is not a Patron, but donated $100 to the fundraiser. That is over 1.5 years for a $5 Patron, or over 8 years for a $1 Patron, yet they get no rewards or dedicated content. What can EZA do to thank and reward supporters from other areas besides Patreon?

My real question is this - are the Allies ok with taking a hit to salaries for startup costs and maintaining a studio, or are there any other concerns about what it would be? Seems like it would be pretty significant investment in this town, although hopefully you would continue to grow enough to offset it and more Edit: Wow you guys hit the goal, now this question seems more pertinent than ever!

VGJunky

With just about 3 months left before Red Dead 2, we still haven't seen any gameplay. Are you at all nervous that it might get delayed again?

Kate Bishop

Hey Jones, Congrats on the $50k! Even if you don't hit the figure, having it in touching distance makes it feel good. One thing you said on that little sip of Jones after the goal was hit was that there would be an obvious hiatus of content while the moving happens. I was wondering if you would be interested in doing a moving and studio setup video blog to cover some of the gap? While I'm sure there will be an excellent Easy Update video about the setup (as is tradition now), maybe having something a bit more raw when a significant event happens or just something you want to talk about might be fun, even if it's shot on a phone. One of the bigger Youtube channels I sub to got a new studio a couple of years back and did this type of content and I found it really interesting, so thought I'd through the idea out. Happy studio hunting! -Hasney

Skankman

Hello Jones, Do you think it would be a good idea if Spoiler Mode actually announced ahead of time what the movie or game is that would be discussed would be? Friend Code does this in a similar light, albeit purely for the sake of gathering patron questions related to the topics being discussed, but I think if Spoiler Mode did this it could actually bring in more people. I know I would have done whatever was in my power to hear your guy's thoughts about Infinity War. The drop of the video post on Patreon may in fact be enough and announcing topics ahead of time may become redundant, but announcing the game or movie ahead of time could also give people the heads up they didn't know they needed to finish or watch whatever is being discussed before the video comes out. It's also just more information being put out there for the people who may just be checking out the Patreon for the first time, who may also be completely unaware of your guy's exclusive shows, which then allows that person to have more opportunities to see something they may absolutely want to watch you guys talk about. Just a quick thought that I wanted to throw your way. L&amp;R - Reagan Rayden

[Comment about a previously answered question] Hey Jones, This is bouncing off of Stephen's question from the most recent episode. In regards to having the Twitch channel just constantly playing EZA content so that people can watch/clip things out from your other shows. You said you liked the idea, but weren't sure how to implement it or whether it was feasible to give someone else another job to do. I just wanted to add that it could actually be relatively easy if you guys just set up a YouTube playlist with all the week's current videos, and then set it to autoplay + loop. Then you could literally just stream your browser window flipping through the playlist. It probably wouldn't be too much of a hassle to set up, and it could easily be edited or hosted by any ally from any computer. Obviously yes, it would still be work to check in on the stream and add new videos to the playlist as they come out, but even just a few EZA videos on autoplay can run for a lot of hours on it's own. Leaving the playlist on a loop can give people multiple chances to come watch the videos live with chat, and it's friendly to people in different time zones. I can imagine people specifically stopping by to watch the stream at certain times because they know an episode of a show they like is going to come on soon. It could be really fun, and I hope you guys give it some thought. L&amp;R.

Ben Metal

Hi Jones and Allies. Thank you for your E3 coverage, it was nice to hear an honest take on the press conferences and the impressions. I may not agree with all the things said, but the honesty and the fun expressed from your work is what will keep me coming back. Also, thank you for being a group of people that I can listen to and watch without the need for cursing constantly, it feels like a breath of fresh air with a lot of stuff that has been seen online in the past. Love &amp; Respect.

Anthony Stevens

I just wanted too respond to your: don't watch this on youtube, watch it on patreon. I don't know if this is because I'm not American or it's just a me-thing, probably the latter, but since patreon is tied to my credit card info I don't like having it open for too long. Again, it's probably just me and many will probably have tons of good reasons for why it's ok but it just doesn't feel entirely safe to me (this payment method being so easy to use and all). So I I'd love it if you'd read the Youtube comments now and then. And if not, I hope you'll at least forgive me (and others of course) for watching and posting comments on Youtube instead of Patreon.

LukeW

Hi Brandon, regarding your GTAO comment, there's an option to mute all chat except friends chat, is what i use when i play with a friend, i'm also annoyed by the same people, random kids cursing or random noise from people, i hear ya!

Daniel Garza Andrade

Hello Jones! First time poster here: I found Easy Allies through Elyse, first through GT and then Easy Update ft Elyse. I love YOU GUYS! You are so jolly and professional! Keep up the good work! : QUESTION TIME : Since you are a fan of open world games, have you finished Witcher 3 or was it too overwhelming? SKELLIGE! Love and Respect, Davor ( Dah-Vore)

Hi Jones! Why not stream Red Dead Revolver? I think it would make a great stream since I don't believe many have had the chance to experience it, or even know about it, and its also fairly short. I know you guys have a lot on your plates but I fear it may be the last opportunity we get of you guys streaming it with RDR 2 coming out soon. I spent countless hours dueling on its multiplayer with my brothers, there was nothing like it at that time, and to this day, its theme song randomly pops up in my mind.. its so good. Huber mentioned that he has been replaying Red Dead Redemption to catch up with the story, maybe he would like to be in on it too, and pay respect to the OG!

Eduardo Ortiz

Hey Jones, I love your enthusiasm for open world games, and I used to share that same enthusiasm. They were so fresh at the start of the Xbox 360/PS3 gen, and I had a blast with games like Just Cause 2 and Far Cry 3. I never got into GTA, but that's solely due to my dislike of urban settings in games. I vastly prefer jungles, mountains and vast wildernesses. But I sort of dropped off a few years ago to where I could only play Horizon for only 3 hours before I got horribly bored thanks to it feeling like every other open world I've played. Even The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild got old after I finished the story, and the DLC was the biggest disappointment as it only tossed some throwaway challenges into a world I was already familiar with. So, Jones, I want to know how you've been able to keep your enthusiasm for the genre after so many have come and gone, and do you have any ideas as to how I could approach the genre with fresh eyes going forward? Your coverage of Spider-Man has me more interested than I was last year, but I'm worried I'm gonna get bored after 3 hours and feel like I wasted money.

Phazonmasher

A long time ago, when GameTrailers was still a thing, Huber told this amazing story of how when he was a fresh hire, during one of his first interactions with you, he started shaking you in a fit of enthusiasm. As deeply strange as it is, I have really grown attached to the allies. I love these little anecdotes (once again, I get that it is weird). I would LOVE to hear your side of this story. Do you remember a wide eyed Huber shaking you? What was your first take on this ball of raw enthusiasm that you had just hired? If you feel like this is a bit too personal, I get that. Feel free to ignore this question if that is the case. Cheers!

James Kennedy

So I found myself watching the Gametrailers Final Fantasy retrospective. Something nearly a decade old at this point (if it's not). It got me thinking, Jones. How do you feel like you've improved as an editor/producer/golden voice man after all these years? How have you grown as a person and a professional? Bonus question: What is your favorite retrospective you've ever worked on?

I hope you're doing well today

Great work again on E3 coverage this year. The overlays created by your friends (Sadly forgot the name for who created them) used for the streams and breaks were a great surprise. They were almost right up there with the equipment upgrades for slick, new presentation upgrades. Is this something you and the Allies would consider using for podcasts (e.g. Ian bringing up the current topic during the Easy Allies Podcast) or special group streams like Easy Living? Or is this purely a tool to improve your E3 coverage? Would also love any insight and behind the scenes looks into what went into building and managing the overlays sometime, too, if that isn't too big an ask. Thanks, and once again, great job on E3 coverage this year!

Kirbu

You're delightful, Mr. Jones. Wish I'd joined the Patreon ages ago. Your discussion of the staged car crashes was a page right out of my childhood. Bring on the Orwellian future, it's still better than the "Brave New World" future.

Hi Jones, Long time follower but only recently became a Patron. The reason? Infinity War. I just had to hear your guys impressions. So there's a little validation for your exclusive shows strategy. The issue is I had absolutely no idea you guys did a spoilercast for that movie already. My suggestion; a montage of clips from your Patreon exclusive shows. Just show off the titles + some quick animated Huber reactions and you'd be set. However... I don't think it'd get much traction as a small monthly video on Youtube, therefore I think that quick montage would work much more effective as a Stinger. Akin to your E3 montage that played before/after your E3 streams, I think a Patreon stinger could work great. You could also put it in the middle of Twitch streams during Maintenance or breaks for more traction than something at the end of a video. Maybe even in Youtube content, the podcast etc to perhaps replace the Patron plug, or closing out like the really old GT videos that had a quick ad for the website at the end. Sorry if you've already gotten this suggestion a bunch of times. Thanks for reading! PS. I might not know what a Stinger is &gt;_&gt;

Jones!!! You guys did a great job at e3 as usual this year and enjoyed every minute of it. Here's a thought I had for next year. Can you let us know what allies are going to be live reacting during each conference a head of time? I know it's a minor detail but I like to know what allies to expect for each conference.

yeah, just YouTube being weird during processing. Happens every week. You should be able to view it from the start after a couple hours. -Bloodworth

Easy Allies

The show starts 43 minutes in but with the bar at the bottom right at the start so you can't go back any further, wierd one.

(EDIT: This edit comes after the $50K goal was initially reached - Congratulations on reaching the goal! If you don't take questions, that's totally fine, so please consider this submission for the next episode in which you do. But regardless, I'm more excited for just how much this year has been a massive boost and boon for EZA!) Hey Mr. Jones! At the end of E3, I read a GameSpot article sighting that E3 2019 would be the last confirmed E3 for the LA Convention Center and if the Center couldn’t modernize, the ESA would have to relocate. I understand this is a situation that is not certain, and E3 could very well stay where it has been, plus this is two years off if it WERE to come about, BUT: In the event E3 is not where it has been for the last decade, what would be EZA’s plan? Is there another location in LA E3 could be? If not, where do you think it would go? And finally, are there too many variables to consider in formulating a rough contingency right now? As always, thanks for taking my question(s) and have a wonderful day! Cheers!

Hey Jones Good job for all the allies on E3 coverage. It was phenomenal. I really like Ben Moore. Can you give us some Ben Moore Hype? Also does Ben have a nickname? THANKS!

A-hoy-hoy. I recommend that you 'don't skip' 'Lord of Dungeons' on mobile. It's a menu management game wherein you are the lord of dungeons that you find in the world and RPG characters explore. I almost ditched it because of the fan-service, but that dies down, and there is a solid, satirical game there in the end. They are also the most generous with premium currency that I have ever seen. Props to Two Hands Games, and seeing as you are 'the mobile guy' I think it is a candidate for a mobile 'Don't Skip'. K, ba-iii.

Hey Brandon! Sent you an email about some design stuff, hoping you see it!

Just adding my 2c that I love the idea of playing new episodes of Tabletop (and podcasts, etc.) on Twitch, as a way of getting the community watching and enjoying them together, and a cheeky way to get Clips for Damiani...

Any chance you guys will be on Giant Bomb's night show? Have they approached you about that?

Last week someone brought up premiering shows on Twitch for the community to watch it together. Just wanted to provide this link if you guys are considering it: <a href="https://help.twitch.tv/customer/portal/articles/2909343-how-to-premiere-your-video-on-twitch" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://help.twitch.tv/customer/portal/articles/2909343-how-to-premiere-your-video-on-twitch</a>

Question: Hey Joneszy, is a daily news show a la KFGD in the cards? I would at least double my pledge if that was a goal.

How do you plan to inaugurate the studio once you finalize the location and move in? Given that this will be the first studio you have rented independent of Viacom or Defy (correct me if I'm wrong), I am wondering if you will do something special to commemorate it. (Think big, Jones! and congrats. The Allies are well deserving of this day, regardless of the future financials.)

When I try and view this it just says the stream is offline.
