Well, I'm getting a refreshed need for couch co op or couch multiplayer games, to play with my girlfriend. And there are a few. All the sports games, all the fighting games, all the racing games, a lot of platformers, a lot of party games, a lot of indie games, even a few shooters like COD or Borderlands, or RPG's like Diablo, have couch co op or multiplayer options...

Kyle, in relation to what Ian was guessing at with the continued sales of the PS4 controller: I work in the book publishing industry. Every edition of a book ever published has a code called an ISBN which is used to track sales of that specific edition, and I can say that it is definitely a conscious decision that when a new version of a book is coming out and it will replace the old version, the same ISBN will be given to the new edition - that way, the sales history will stay with that book, helping it to build a strong sales profile. Not anything too exciting, but just thought I would confirm that that kind of thing does happen in retail.

Recently found that the DS4 will connect to phones via Bluetooth; and FFVII for Android works flawlessly with gamepads! (had to use a second app called BluetoothAutoConnect for latency)

The Dualshock 4 is a phenomenal controller. Personally I bought a DS4 before I bought a PS4 to play on my PC since a lot of games recognize it these days, also the touchpad is a blessing for PC gamers on this controller. I even got another, a "cheaper" DS4 from an Asian online store recently and it seems that the only difference is the battery itself so I think it's a refurbished one.

Correction: (from a nitpicky historian and political scientist) The Soviet block was not Communist like the British and Americans like to refer to them, they were Bolshevic and in fact never even referred to themselves as communists until after the western media in 1917-19 coined that term for them. Ideologically speaking Bolshevism and later Maoism is actually the opposite of Communism and while they claim philosophical tradition to Marx, in fact there is no such thing. Which becomes very obvious when you read Marx' philosophy in the original German and thats why we in the field distinguish between Marx'sche Philosophy, which is the philosophy of Marx, and Marxist philosophy which began in 1871 in Paris after the massacres on the civilians by the French government and has literally almost nothing to do with Marx or his ideas at all. Those are two very different and distinct ideologies and philosophies.

Well, they spent a good chunk of the podcast talking it down, yet the review bombers got what they wanted in the end. So it was more Kyle saying that the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

I wouldn't say they did it because of the review bombing. Rainbow Six team have always been good at listening to community feedback. I've been there since the beginning and they always listened.

As an Australian - streaming and download-only media is terrifying. Our internet will always be behind the curve thanks to our ridiculous government and their poor infrastructure plans. Physical media is always going to be the better option for us. I hope groups like Sony and Microsoft etc, will keep that in mind and not completely faze out physical media...
