Frame Trap - Episode 62 "Dragon Quest Is Almost Here!"

Comments

I love the chill talk at the start of the podcast. Rainymood is not only great for sleeping but also bolsters my concentration in a noisy work environment - can recommend. As for the sleeping part... I confess to using EZA. That had to stop though when I woke up having had 9 episodes of Tabletop Escapades pass me by. keep up the great work!

It came out at a busy time, and things won't get any less busy from here, but I hope a couple of the allies manage to make time for Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion before the end of the year to cover it in their thoughts in some form, because it is exactly the thing talked about in this episode with easily skipped DLC simply because it is DLC. Has gotten many positive mentions on things like the Community Showcase, but nobody among The Nine seems to checked it out yet, which is frustrating when it is the most fun I've had this year with a game.

Media Blackout on VC4! Will be back in a month Correction: I thought Left Behind WAS sold standalone at some point?

I think what happens is there is a collective need for Metroidvania so multiple developers want to fulfill that need but games take time and in a couple years later they start releasing Metroidvanias. However if the demand is overestimated it will feel like market saturation then devs. Passion of the indie developer can influence this as well.

Ally wow discussions are always so weird to an avid longterm wow player. Seeing them excited about BfA when the more hardcore community, my self included, are more down on this expansion than even WoD during its beginning month of release. Losing all of the intricacies of the majority of specs, and the global cooldown changes (if anyone of you playing currently read this I'd love to know if you even noticed this change) make the game feel slow and much less appealing as a whole. Not to mention several specs not even being finished and will not be until after the release of the first raid

The part of DQ11's music that bothers me is that its composer is a homophobe and a war crime denier.

I think dragon quest 11 will be my first dragon quest, playing on PC when ever that drops.

warcraft 4 turn!

I can't really put my finger on what it is about Battle for Azeroth, but I'm just finding it very dull. I'm not getting any of those feelings that Huber describes. With every expansion I get totally in-over-my-head addicted for a month or 2 and just love every moment of it, but this time I stopped after a few days. Dead Cells on the other hand. Looooooooooove.

I love this podcast so much, thank you Ben! I hope that my question added a bit of valuable discussion, even though it wasn't as concise or clear as I would want it to be :). 100% loved your takes on it though! (Also I stand by Death of the Outsider, such a great game!)
