Added 2018-08-20 20:03:03 +0000 UTCThis weekend at Easy Livin’ we announced 3 new goal tiers, all suited to the new studio we’re looking for. Over time, as we narrow down the types of places that will work for us, we’ll have a clearer idea of what we’ll be capable of and post more updates on these and other big goals. For now, hopefully these give you a sense of the type of fun we can have in our own production space. Thank you for getting us to the point where we can even begin to consider producing more shows/events like this.
Title: Full Play-through Friday
Level: $52,000
Description: We’ll commit to starting and finishing a different game on at least one Friday a month, live on Twitch.
One of the first, regular streaming “series” we did back at GameTrailers was Full Playthrough Fridays, primarily led by Kyle and Huber. Once this goal is met, we’re going to share the responsibility of knocking out each game, so you’ll see new allies and new types of games that can be completed in a few hours, or in Huber’s case, all night. This will also put another thing in the calendar that includes more than one ally, as patrons have been asking to see more group stuff live.
Working Title: Huber’s Game Show
Level: $55,000
Description: Huber will host a adrenaline-fueled monthly competition of wits with allies and friends.
We’ve been talking about this one for a while. It’s finally time for you all to experience the Syndrome attacks we deal with on a daily basis. Michael Huber has a thirst for information relating to everything in popular media, searching out one 10-out-of-10 after another. The natural next step is to have him interrogate contestants and test the depth of our knowledge. We’re still working out the details on what form it will take, as it’s something we (and especially Huber) have never done. We’ll post more details as we get closer to the goal. Rest assured that we plan to fit the style of the show very closely to Huber’s personality.
Working Title: Live Guest Show
Level: $58,000
Description: We’ll stream a weekly show featuring a special guest we want to interview, and a newly released game we want to showcase.
We did something like this before called GT Live. It ended as abruptly as GT did, and we’ve always missed having new people to hang out with each week. Given our location and setup, having special guests is something that we’ve done moderately, and we can’t wait to have the opportunity to invite everyone we know to an actual business space. We’ll definitely be building our studio with a show like this in mind, whether we reach this goal or not. We want the space to be secure but flexible, letting us put on different types of episodes. Like Huber’s Game Show, this will evolve the closer we get to meeting the goal, including its title. Stay tuned for more updates, and opportunities to get the word out and bring new people into the Patreon, instead of growing by demanding more from the wonderful people that are already here. This has been a tremendous year for us, with more big changes on the horizon. Here’s to doing more with Easy Allies than we ever thought possible.

2018-08-20 20:58:57 +0000 UTCGlad to see this posted, the announcement at the end of Easy Living seemed a bit muted and rushed. Likely because you were all so tired. I welcome the possible return of Full Play-through Friday's, that should help attract more viewers and potential patrons as a result. Good stuff. Perhaps there’s a Patreon incentive that could be born of this coming back. Maybe not to the level of group stream selection, but worth thinking about. (voting on difficulty's / challenge runs / stipulations?) Add some more value to the $10 + tiers and you’ll get more people onboard. The gameshow sounds like a good concept, will need to see a bit more detail before I can say I'm sold however. I’m sure Huber will give it his all, but this will need some solid planning and production. I worry you are stretched too thin already. The return of GT Live is a no brainer for me, it’s a solid piece of weekly content that will help bring in viewers from outside the existing EZA fan bubble. Once again, I do worry that you're going to struggle to keep all this going along with the new content however. I really think you need some extra help behind the scenes. Someone managing social media / patron interaction would be a boon for starters. Crowd funding really thrives on communicating regularly and effectively with existing and potential new backers. Wish you all the best with these new goals. Still worried about hitting the studio goal again. Hopefully the word can be spread to get us up to $52,000 at least.

It’s an awesome game show where they can bring in special guests from all over the Internet and, as far as I know, no-one is doing a videogame equivalent. Seriously Huber......videogame version of the schmoedown....that’s how you get to the next level

Right now I don't feel particularly incentivised to move much over $5, because I don't feel the need to interact directly with the Allies via the Film Club or the Community Showcase. I'm not sure what exactly it is that would push me up to a higher tier, but I'm just saying: I'm extremely open to it!
