Marvel’s Spider-Man - Review
Added 2018-09-04 14:02:20 +0000 UTCI beat Spider-man a few days ago and I can’t stop playing it. Not a ton, mind you. I’m just jumping back in the world now and then to swing around a bit or clear up a few crimes, or replay one of the hideouts and mess around with the gadgets. I love the world Insomniac has built. I can’t wait to check out the DLC, and I need a sequel to this game ASAP.
Huber and I have talked a lot recently about why we love the Arkham series, and it’s been great having that kind of thrill back again. This is a game that wasn’t rushed by a film’s deadline or compromised by sticking to some source material, so you never know what they’re going to do with these characters. If you’re a big Spider-man fan, this game will play with your expectations constantly, presenting mysteries you’re either directly involved in, or will have to solve later on. There was never a dull moment for me, which is in large credit do to the pace of the storytelling, and the immediacy of all the side content.
The game doesn’t take long to get to some big spoilers, so avoid reading too much before you jump in. There are a lot of fun bits Sony won’t let us show you, and plenty I left out of my review so you can hopefully experience it when you play. I look forward to seeing people pick their favorite outfit, goof around with the combat system, and speculate where Insomniac is going to take this franchise moving forward.

If you are sensitive to spoilers there may be some visual spoilers of enemies and costumes, though mostly stuff that has been in trailers. If you really don't want any of that I would suggest just reading the text version at easyallies.com
