Next Game Sleuth Update

With there only being three months left in the year, you must be wondering about the next episode of Game Sleuth. I promised there would be at least 3 episodes this year to make it one more than the previous, which I see as an improvement. I would say that having to work on a Retrospective solo like Brad did for Souls is the only reason why this is coming to you at the tail end of the year rather than sooner. I secretly hoped I could have churned out a fourth episode in the calendar year, but I don't think that is likely at this point.

I love to keep the topic about the new episode a secret until the week of its release because I believe in short lead times for building the most hype and capitalizing on it. However, I do think I could give you something more before then without spoiling the reveal. So, I'll give you a small update on this coming episode to hopefully get you somewhat.

After the release of the Final Fantasy VII episode, Shesez of BoundaryBreak reached out to us to ask a question about a version of Final Fantasy VII used in the episode. They responded most kindly with an awesome shout out in their Final Fantasy VII episode, and I figured it would be awesome to try to work something sort of collaboration out with them.

The idea didn't pan out with Resident Evil 2, but Shesez mentioned something at the time they would definitely be interested in collaborating on with us. So I've extended the invitation to collaborate on the next episode, and they've agreed. I'm still in the research phase of the episode so I can better understand what I will need production wise, and when that's figured out, I'll be relying on them for some key assistance to make the episode possible.

I don't like giving out release dates before I'm confident the production is going to make the mark, but I will say it's targeted for Halloween, with the late end of it being mid-November. This is a bit insane given everything else I'm working on this month, but I want to try my best to make it happen.

I know some of you might not like the secretive nature of the show, but it's one of the things I've loved adhering to for almost eight years now, so thank you to those who have been patient and understanding.

I do have some ideas for the future that I'd like to bring up closer to the end of the year, ways to try to get the community more involved and perhaps changing up some things to keep interest up and try to make the show feel more like a routine, frequently discussed element of Easy Allies rather than a few times a year event.

L&R,

- Damiani

You do you Damiani, we believe !

Question Damiani. When not swamped with reviews and Retros, do you have multiple episode ideas going at once, or just focus on the one at a time? Thanks, keep up the great work!

Thank you for all your hard work. Not sure how you sleep when you add in your streaming lol.

Chris H

With the extremely high quality of the last episode. I'm okay with this taking as long as it needs.

I hope you're doing well today

No rush Damiani, let it cook!

Take your time man. The way I see it, Easy Allies delivers us a variety of programs throughout the year that make up a whole. So while we don’t get this monthly, it’s just a piece of the larger sum. Plus this kind of content requires extensive research and writing. Let alone, the editing. Given everything you guys do, it’s totally understandable. Thanks for communicating with us.

Mewgia

Good collab. Been watching Boundary Break for awhile now

Logan Tawse

Thanks for the update! <3

Great communication and transparency!

Thanks Damiani, eager to watch it.

Dont be an ass, and even if that would be the case, there's no problem with that tbh

Sven Van Lathem

Huh, i really thought it was Brad that was working on the Retro. Keep up the good work Damiani :)

Sven Van Lathem

It's coming out in late December, gotcha!

I really hope Game Sleuth becomes (approximately) quarterly next year.

TurboChickenMan

Always appreciate the effort Damiani-Kun. Let it cook, we are patient. Hell, we’ve waited for KH3, we can make it. Excited for the episode!

Thank you for your hard work Damiani

Corey Swafford

Sounds good, thanks for letting us know Damiani!

Tim O'Keeffe

You're working with Shesez? That's great! Love his stuff and that shout-out was pretty nifty to see as well! Really glad to hear it and really look forward to the next episode. :)

Sam Sorensen

Damiani, you should try to do some qanda behind the scenes for gamesleuth. Something like what Kyle is doing with Box Peek

Ibrahim Sozer

Whatever it is Damiani, I can't wait to see it and Shesez is good people so I'm excited for that collaboration. Please take care of yourself though and make sure you're getting some sleep. Please!

Thanks for the update - and that cheeky retro tease! Maybe in the studio you can get into more of a rhythm with GS, but I'm happy with it being occasional!

Samuel Cardwell

The secretive nature is half of the fun! Keep up the good work!

Tyler Travis

Thanks for the update Mr. Damiani! I LOVE GS and alongside Trailer Jones, Retros, the main podcast, and Frame Trap, is my favorite show EZA produces with Hall of Greats and reactions being my favorite streams. Reading you are working on a Retro solo on top of everything you produce (like having to put Clips on hold for this very reason), I'm not at all in a hurry to see the next episode. I'm totally going to love it whenever you can put it out!

Brandon K Gann

Dang, you’re working on a Retro on your own on top of everything!? Just make sure you’re not overworking yourself, dude! Let it cook if it needs to; thanks for such a detailed update!

Noah Weinstein

Awesome I love BoundaryBreak

Blade Kasper

Take your time Damiani. The extra time taken for this video just means it'll be a real treat when it is ready.

Let it cook. Always quality!

Darren Mifsud

Thank you for all your hard work, Damiani!

Parasitepaladin

Hummm I wonder if this will be a spooky Game Sleuth. I am ready for what ever you put out either way, keep up the good work.

Sounds awesome. The effort put into these always makes it worth the wait.
