2019-01-22 20:23:45 +0000 UTCThis looks like TOP game and GOTY contender. However, because I have a strict "No jump scares." rule, I won't play it. Scare me, terrify me, TERRORIZE ME! But startle me? Sneak up and go "BOO!"? That's just a form of triggering my reflexes to make me physically uncomfortable without zero mental horror, and honestly I think it's a cheap/lazy tool. I decided years ago to not support any movie or game that uses this tool with money, and I even stand with that approach when it comes to top notch games like this or Prey.
