Friend Code: Skyward Sword Coming to Switch?

Ian and Kyle find they might get more Zelda than they bargained for as the panel dives into the Skyward Sword rumor, how we feel about games like Smash Ultimate leaking ahead of release, and what Breath of the Wild's final timeline placement means for the Zelda series going forward.

Still no podcast on iOS app ?

I find it very hard to believe they would completely redesign an entire game designed around motion controls for a re-release of an old game. Its not a HD remaster they would basically have to remake the entire game.

Is it just me or everyone lump together Xbox and Playstations hence why Nintendo gets its own show. Now I wonder if any other publisher has the potential of having it's own podcast.

Valid. I guess maybe Damiani sees Indies as multiplat games, so the news isn't necessarily exclusive to Nintendo, despite their indie focus their generation, unless it is directly in relation to Nintendo such as selling best on Nintendo. Then with stuff like Kirby, the smaller stuff never gets covered because none of the Allies are as invested in the franchise as they are in Mario, Zelda, or Metroid. There's been some pretty cool stuff happening with Star Allies last free DLC wave for the long term fans of the franchise and implications of Kirby being handed off from the current modern Kirby game director, Shinya Kumazaki to someone new after this title. But since none of the Allies are big fans of Kirby in general, unless someone who is brings it up to be discussed, without big news sites covering it as a story, it just gets left in the stardust. All that said, this episode was personally for me exactly what I was hoping they would be covering this week, so even if it is ends up mostly Zelda, Smash, and Mario talk, that isn't neccesarily a bad thing if it ends up being the most interesting news of the week to hold a discussion around. Clearly they have more to say about a potential remake of a game Kyle loves on the way than implications of a director stepping down from a franchise none of the Allies are invested in and how that could affect the future of it. Damiani made the right call.

I really wish they would talk about major Nintendo news on the Tuesday night podcast. I have a hard time making enough time for all of the content, and Nintendo alone doesn't have enough new or interesting things going on.

Twilight Princess HD on Wii U did have redrawn textures in some instances so it wasn't just a simple upscale effort. I would imagine they would do something similar with Skyward Sword. But hey, they outright denied it so I expect it to be announced at the Direct in January.

I feel Damiani's gettin better and better at hosting, BUT every week is Zelda/Smash talk (with a side of "what do we want from the switch"). Like every single week. Sometimes for the tiniest reason. It seems nothing happens on Switch if it's not the core franchises. It's a shame because there are many indie (and even non-indie) games outside of the big N franchises to talk about (like the messenger, or Into the breach).

I can't imagine any changes to Skyward Sword that would make me enjoy that game for more than small moments, but who knows, I'd like to be wrong.
