Top 10 Characters Who Don't Deserve to be in Smash

10: Agree. Think Kyle mentioned in one podcast that Petey Piranha could/should have been the character and not Piranha Plant itself, which I wholeheartedly agree with. 9. Disagree. Wii Fit did sell quite a lot and while people probably played it for no more than 2 hours at best, it's what a lot of people think of when they think of the Wii. 8. Strongly disagree. Your argument here isn't particularly good. It was basically "why not the other Star Fox members?" Peppy is a bad-ass, but not a very exciting pick. Slippy is obnoxious and certainly not a "fan favourite." Personally, I would have chosen Pigma over Wolf, but that's just me. 7. Undecided. On the one hand, you're right in that there are more important characters in the Nintendo library than R.O.B., but on the other hand, if R.O.B. didn't Trojan Horse the NES into people's homes in the 80s, the game industry wouldn't be the same. Torn on this one. 6. Agree. She's an interesting character, but she's only played a major role in one game, and all the good parts to her aren't demonstrated in Smash. 5. Strongly agree. He's just a Mario costume. He has the same physics and up until Smash 4, he had the exact same moveset. Now he has the same moveset, sans Mario's Down B. 4. Disagree. Every fighting game needs a joke character, and Pichu is it. Pichu isn't inherently bad, either; it takes damage from its attacks, but it's faster than Pikachu, so it can rack up damage pretty quickly. 3. Agree, with a caveat. Dark Samus, at is stands, does nothing better than Samus (haven't unlocked it yet, so I can't confirm that). Dark Samus should not be in Smash with its current moveset, but if its moveset was changed, then I would disagree with your choice. 2. Strongly disagree. Miis were one of the few things the Wii did right: they're cartoony mascots that you can use in a variety of different games, and aren't really intrusive. Plus, Streetpass is great. 1. Vehemently agree. Dark Pit is a clone character, both canonically and in Smash: he is a dark reflection of Pit and exists only to be an edgy and bitter foil to Pit's peppy personality. He's a worse "dark version" of a character than Shadow The Hedgehog; as bad as Sonic is written, they at least tried to give Shadow some sort of reason as to why he's a bitter jerk. I would take nearly any "edgy version of existing character" in Smash over Dark Pit: Dark Metaknight, Dark Link, Shadow Mario (cheating, but still), Shadow The Hedgehog, Bass, Evil Ryu, Violent Ken...

How did Ike/March/Roy/Lucina not make this list? That’s 4 characters who are all exactly the same and no one even knows what games they came from. ^_^ Love and Respect.

In contrast to some of the other comments, I really felt like this list was pretty clearly written by a bunch of different people. Each entry has a different style and seems like there were a few different ideas on what the list meant, which was a little jarring when they were all voiced by Jones. Unlike the reviews I really got the sense he was reading someone else's words. I still enjoyed the list, but my constructive feedback would be that either each Ally should voice their own entry, or the scripts needed a little more editing. I hope that doesn't come across as too nitpicky. L&R
