Just Cause 4 - Review

With the studio acquisition, and the holidays right around the corner, I took my sweet time finishing up this review. Despite the wealth of amazing open-world experiences we got in 2018, I was still anticipating getting to play as Rico one more time this generation. Now that I’m finished with Just Cause 4, however, it’s clear to me that this game needs a lot more polish. It feels like a level of roughness that Avalanche and Square Enix was able to accept in terms of what sales they could expect from their core audience. There were a lot of thrilling moments in my playthrough, but I never forgot how little I cared about the characters, and how ugly this world can look sometimes. I think fans will be satisfied, but anyone that’s curious about this franchise should pick up Just Cause 3 instead.

The last playthrough I saw of huber was quiet man.where is code veronica playthrough?it's not on easy allies plays

A bit confused by what you mean. He's been doing a solo playthrough of RE Code Veronica over the last month or so. Are you asking about the return of Full Playthrough Fridays? If so, that's the 52k goal.

How come huber hasn't done a playthrough of any games?I thought he was gonna start streaming solo?

As someone who played 3, no way in hell am I getting this one. It looks like the same game to me.

We have done so on occasion if we happen to get multiple versions, but more often we only get one copy of the game or we simply don't have enough time to play a significant amount on a secondary platform. We always clearly label which platform a game is reviewed on so you know how to consider any technical issues that come up. -Bloodworth

Hell of a review

As someone who is neither a PC gamer or a player of Just Cause games, I was watching a quick look of this game on GiantBomb’s YouTube channel and they are in the opinion that the PC version is markedly better. Is it worth mentioning quality differences between systems in future reviews? ACG manages to do it in all of his reviews, so I imagine it’s possible. If not, all good, just curious. L+R

Man having to praise the load times feels like scraping an empty barrel... that explodes and sometimes looks cool
