If for several sessions. If one tries to take it all in with very few sessions it's very exhausting and tedious. I'm in the middle, since I could have appreciated a shorter mode reaching the bosses faster. On the other hand, I think it's that long for people who want to have something in the single player sense, since while Classic it's more stream line, it also means playing with everyone instead of sticking to your favorites.

I think you nailed this review. World of Light gets repetitive but it's still probably the best single player mode smash has had. With the network adapter online is perfectly fine for me, but it's not an excuse for the bad matchmaking which they now seem to have fixed.

While I think this review is excellent, I have to say my experience with the online has not been so bad. I've played a total of 200 battles in quickplay mode and only a small handful of matches have had serious lag problems. This includes 4 player and 2 player matches. Maybe I am not as picky or something but I just don't see it warranting as bad of a reputation as I am seeing it get. The review made it sound like you may as well not bother with the online.

Unlocking Elite Smash is really easy, and Damiani said on Friend Code you can force matchmaking to pay closer attention to your preferred ruleset by using the Background Matchmaking rule, which also doesn't take that much longer to find your matches, so it is probably fine. I do think For Glory was ultimately more elegant for Smash though.

Great Review Damiani! I'm glad you covered the online matchmaking issues. I am literally blown away by how many media outlets have ignored this issue. The patch did improve matchmaking somewhat, but it still needs much more work. I'd hate to say it, but they should bring back an option for For Glory mode for those who haven't unlocked Elite Smash yet.
