2019-05-04 15:49:02 +0000 UTCSo not a correction, but I've never heard it referred to as 'boiling the frog' so much as 'death by degrees'. The idea being that you could slowly turn up the temperature and a frog would boil to death meanwhile if you put it in hot water it would hop out. Although.. it's kinda cool to think of that as a modern fable too.

2019-05-03 15:19:33 +0000 UTCRe: Dovus the npc you never meet, in Starcraft the Protoss are absolutely reverent about a dead guy called Adun. They flavour their greetings and goodbyes to each other with his name (En taro Adun...) , they call it when going into battle (For Adun!) and exclaim with it (By Adun...). You never see him, his backstory is never explained, he's not a god. The only way of finding out who he is (at the time, in 1998) is reading the Protoss backstory buried in the beefy manual that comes in the box. I *actually * kinda liked that, he felt important, and everybody's respect for him throughout the game actually added meaning to their words when it was uttered later on.

We can bathe in gravy right now.” “YOU HAVE TO LOOK AT SONIC THE WHOLE TIME!” Great ep, I miss Ian. Correction: Differentials are change in an output given a small increase in the input, so they can be negative or positive depending on whether the output is falling or rising with the input. The issue is that there’s no clear direction on YouTube likes and dislikes except for left-to-right reading, so the differential could be positive or negative. A good way to phrase the bet would have been “How many more dislikes than likes will the video have next week?”
