That Hottake moment has to become a gif haha, great!

The turtleneck conversation at the start of the podcast made me feel personally attacked! Also, on the DQ XI Switch conversation, my understanding is that Nintendo is publishing the Switch version, so it's possible the additional content was commissioned by Nintendo. Maybe SE is being wishywashy about it because they don't want to discuss the arrangement, be it under contractual obligation or courtesy. That said, that's just me speculating. If that were the case, it would maybe make more sense for SE to just flat out say it's not coming to other platforms. Who knows what the reason is. Seems like something they could make a few bucks on selling as DLC on the PS4/PC versions, so not offering it does seem odd.

Good to see Ben enjoying EO Nexus. I've been pretty addicted to this one since release.

And don't even talk about SE already announced the Switch version will have exclusive content not found on PS4 2-3 months before the worldwide release.

Just want to put my 2 cents here for Huber and Ben, a few months before the release of DQXI on PS4 and PC in NA, SE already said the Switch version will have the exclusive content not found on PS4. They already put the option on the table, you either play now on PS4/PC or wait to get the exclusive content on Switch, you do have option. That's why a lot of fans have hold back and wait for the S version. Small correction: They clarified later to say that the orchestrated tracks will only be the battle and field themes. The other themes in the game (you know, cutscene music and character themes) will still be midi. It's nice that they're improving the music you hear the most, but it's going to be even weirder going back and forth between orchestrated music and then midi during any narrative moments.

I'm gonna get some crap for this, but I'm sorry, it's my business sense talking here. It saddens me to see Huber be so negative about DQXI S. SE has no obligation to be charitable to people who already have the game on ps4, because they're a business, they have to make money off of a game, and give incentives for people to buy DQXI on the Switch. Also, DQXI on ps4 did not sell well in the West, so there's hardly any obligation to give more content on there when there's little return on investment. This business decision was for the diehard fans who are so devoted enough to buy a second copy of the game (which is something I've done for my favorite franchises when I can afford it), and for people who haven't played the game yet. Huber should be grateful that they're even putting orchestral music in the game at all, considering how Koichi Sugiyama was so stubborn with the MIDI music treatment in the first place. It'll be awesome if SE adds stuff to the ps4 version, but I won't be surprised if they don't. Either way, I plan on getting DQXI on Switch because I love that game so damn much.

I feel the same way as you Ben, I can’t afford to buy a brand new 60 dollar game I already got and put 40 hours into already, I work two jobs and I hardly have the time as it is. It really feels honestly shitty that they won’t support the fans who bought the game day 1 it feels like they are smacking us in the face, if they told me this earlier that the switch version would have all the extra features I would have waited but they want us to buy it again and I’m sorry I can’t :/
