Trailer Jones - Borderlands 3, Mortal Kombat 11, and Star Wars Episode IX - Audio

But before all that went down I got Bloodworth and, in a rare Trailer Jones appearance, Amanda, to analyze the way these projects sold themselves before these big events. It's interesting to have a teaser, a reveal, and a launch trailer in the same episode. It gives us the chance to see things from both bookeneds; the beginning and the end of a campaign.

I definitely agree with that for The Last Jedi but I really enjoyed Force Awakens. Last Jedi was seemingly only about subverting expectation and along the way they forgot how to make a movie. Which is a shame because I love Looper so damn much (same director/writer). On media blackout for Star Wars trailers though so can't comment on that. My worry for it though is the JJ Abrams loves to create mysteries with zero meaningful payoff, he's said so himself... That worries me. A lot.

A part of me can’t help but think these movies would have been panned and forgotten like many a sci-fi movie if it weren’t for the Star Wars name.

2019-05-06 12:27:21 +0000 UTCNot worth it, after they did so much damage with The Last Jedi. JJ has been called back in again, to try to reverse the damage. This new series is a mess, when you consider the overall plot. It really isn’t building towards anything. By this point in the story, there should be a main goal the protagonist (and main cast) should be working towards.. Luke’s story was having to confront his lineage, and decide whether he was going to be on the dark side or light side. In this point in the new series, they wiped away everything that was set up in JJ’s first film (because subversion! Aren’t your expectations subverted?).
