2019-05-27 22:48:20 +0000 UTCYeah it's so strange. My nephew wanted to play Mario Odyssey. I told him, "I"ll let you play it.. but after you beat the first level of original Mario." He was down to try for sure. Couldn't get to the flag pole. I did let him play but he was immediately annoyed when he saw Mario go in a pipe and become 2d side scrolling Mario. I was like "Man I tried to warn you! I wasn't just being a jerk! That classic Mario stuff is still in the new ones!". He gave up.

2019-05-27 17:36:15 +0000 UTCDamiani’s point about the Matrix is so true. I finally took the dive on a 4K TV a few months back and was looking for a bunch of films to watch on it. The Matrix trilogy was £10 on iTunes so I figured why not? I watched them through with my girlfriend, who somehow had never seen them. After ReLoaded I turned to her and said “honestly, that’s not as bad as I remember”. Don’t get me wrong - they’re far from perfect. But removed from expectations and in a vacuum, they’re perfectly fine.

2019-05-26 18:07:08 +0000 UTCI'm on my second playthrough of Rage 2, intent on 100% before the day 30 update. Having proper expectations going in has thoroughly increased my enjoyment of Rage 2. It's easily my favorite shooter of the generation. I'll probably beat this game over with each planned DLC story release as well. Through everything you've mentioned with Rage 2 theres nothing that diminishes its 10/10 fun. A game has finally matched the fun of Duke Nukem 3D.
