I really hope re7 gets those last 400k sales, RE6 being the most successful game in the franchise just kills me...

potato potato also another potato

You guys missed Capcom updating the sales number for their games. Here are some highlights in case you wanted to talk about them next week: (All numbers are sold through until the end of December 2019) - DMC5 has sold 3.1 millions. Making it the fastest and best selling DMC game of all time. (if we are just counting a single version/SKU) - RE2 has sold 5.8 millions. (In comparison RE7 did 4.8 mil in the same time frame, so RE2 is selling at a much better pace) - RE7 has sold 7 millions, getting closer and closer to RE6 which is now at 7.4 millions. - DMC4SE has now sold 1.4 million copies. Previously we had no solid sale numbers for this release. (4.4 million copies sold in total between DMC4 and DMC4SE) - Vanilla MHW at 14.9 million copies sold. Iceborne at 3.2 millions sold. (Total 18.1 million for MHW + Iceborne) - SFV now at 4.1 million copies sold across all versions. Lastly, RE as a series has now sold 95 million copies overall. It is expected that with the upcoming RE3 remake and continued sales of RE2 and older RE games, the series will soon break 100 million copies sold overall. http://www.capcom.co.jp/ir/english/finance/million.html

For future trophy related bets, PSNprofiles.com defaults to the number of users on their platform that have completed the trophy. It’s always much higher than the overall percent because the site is popular amongst trophy hunters. You can see the overall percent by clicking on the number PSN profiles gives you though! L&R

Thanks for the perspective. I still don't think that risk is great enough to cancel those plans or perhaps they could just send teams from within the US, but I understand that in Japan those risks may be perceived very differently. Also, I really didn't buy into Damiani's theory that they might have alternate motives, either. There's no reason to think that. -Bloodworth

Also there's still lots of mystery.. like .. will there be a home showcase like in New Leaf? That was a really great feature that they haven't hinted at any kind of replacement at all. As was the dream code option which let you visit anyone's town in a 'dream'... unless that's how dodo codes work... (which .. I think they do but I'm not sure). Someone spotted a GRAVE in the video! What's THAT about!? Just.. so much to look forward to discovering. The discovery part is just as hype.

So thank you for your Animal Crossing coverage. I'm a HUGE Animal Crossing nerd and I loved that you guys kept the allies on it that really cared about it. As an Animal Crossing die hard.. this direct WAS huge for the exact reasons you mentioned. It's a game I'm going to spend hundreds of hours with and those quality of life updates impact me TREMENDOUSLY just because of how much time I'm spending. For context.. I spent 210 hours in Breath of the Wild. I spent 350 hours with Animal Crossing New Leaf on 3ds (and would have spent MORE but my town got erased in a botched system transfer :( ) . So for me.. this new game has the potential to be a BIGGER investment time wise than Breath of the wild.. easily since I can spend time on tv AND on the go.. Which is again pretty huge. City Folk on Wii... I did not like it. It was VERY underwhelming. Which means I haven't had a TV based Animal crossing since GAMECUBE!!! Yikes! Anyway with Animal Crossing there's always also those implied things.. like they didn't come out and say it.. but with the random dodo islands instead of the one fixed torpical island you had in New Leaf it's now no longer possible to create an opitimized farm for peak bell collecting. Yes.. you could set up yer tropical island in New Leaf in such a way that it was optimized and could yield massive profits every single visit (which helped me fill out my cataloge in the shop BIG TIME). So how the heck are we gonna farm bells in a big way? A new meta has to be found. Also (and you guys DID mention this on the direct reaction video) --it seems like they're taking steps to thwart time travelers just a bit. Which really IS nice because it kinda WAS sad in new leaf to see people in week 2 with every holiday set. As someone who likes to go slow.. I appreciate it! I could really go on and on but won't (cuz man I went too long already). Just sayin' this Animal Crossing direct had me BEYOND hyped and I am thankful for your coverage of it. L&R

I'm sorry if I am off the mark here, but I'm hoping Jones' little "These are the leaks I love I love - These are the leaks I love" at 1:06:30 ditty was a reference to an old Kids in the Hall song. Or maybe this song is referencing the same thing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEGCdVADLWY

Kyle, thoughts and prayers for you and the family and whatever's going on.

I found Damiani’s and Bloodworth’s attitudes regarding the coronavirus worrying to put it mildly. I work for a Japanese games company in Tokyo and can confirm that employees’ participation in events is being kept to a bare minimum. Sony pulling out of conferences is purely a move to keep their employees safe, it’s nothing to do with the progress of the PS5. I know the virus has had little impact on America, but it’s costing lives here in Asia and the number of cases grows day by day, even outside of China. You have no idea who you’ll cross paths with in an airport, which is one major reason we’re being discouraged from travelling unless absolutely necessary. Love and respect, Chris

you dont spend your entire day with your console in your pocket. You do with a phone. Its also way more useful for every aspects of life than a console. Both cant be compared

Térence Caron

It's totally ridiculous that people expect consoles for 400$. People are buying smartphones for 800$ and up, but when it comes to a console they suddenly start to hesitate. And no one factures in inflation. Money is worth less, so of course things should get more expensive. It's the same with games really. I still can't believe that games are still only 60$ in the US. In other countries, games are up to 70€ for standard editions..

Thanks! -Bloodworth

Typo on the timestamps “PAX easy” by the way. Really appreciating the podcast coming out a few hours earlier the past two-three times by the way!
