Thanks for the shout out Brad!! Joe Baker here. Maybe not the right one but I'll take it!

As a part of the "combat crowd" of KH's fanbase (reading KH2 labeled as a button masher makes my head hurt), the week spend defeating the Superbosses of Re:Mind was incredible and rewarding on the level of a From Soft title - KH superbosses are tough, you die very fast, for the first 5 tries you probably won't even know what to do. However, from a story perspective, more unique content, Hollow Bastion/ the End of the World in KH1 and The World That Never Was levels in KH2 were the best parts of their respective games. Hopefully Yozora signals a return to more original content, Square have failed to integrate Disney IPs well into the original story being told since KH1; I'd rather include more Square IPs and characters into Kingdom Hearts than see Frozen 2 as a world with Sora as a fanfic insert.

Thanks for sticking with Pokemon Mystery Dungeon for now Brad. Being a Remake of the original, they changed alot of the systems from the original to be less frustrating for new players and designed it so anyone could reach credits, but if you keep playing postcredits, which you should because there's new dungeons, bosses, and chunks of story, then you'll quickly find the "challenge" missing right now as you breeze through stuff. The new Dojo also probably has you overleveled, but that's fine and shouldn't be an issue postcredits. Lots of what was taken out was stuff like an IQ system in which your Pokemon started off as complete idiots and you have to grind "Gummis" for entirely too long to unlock things like Pokemon being smart enough not to run onto a visible Explosion Trap. They spun that into the Rare Quality system, which I feel makes your teammates way more active in battle and valuable instead of being mostly liabilities in the originals. They also decided to apply the effects of an item called X-Ray Specs to every single dungeon until credits, so that will be a noticeable change later. But anyways, everything you said for where you were when you recorded this episode seemed completely fair. Of all the later game additions they did retroactively plug into this one, strange they didn't add the bounty hunter type missions from Explorers. Think you would've dug those more, but completely fair criticizing mission variety. Don't be afraid to barrel forward with the story when it lets you if you feel confidently overpowered. You won't be missing out on meaningful sidequests or anything. All that can be dug into postcredits. Only tip I'd say would be occasionally checking dialogue of characters around town as the story progresses as it can change and lead to cute limited time scenes. Anyways, hope you find the fun as you get further into it, but totally cool if it just isn't for you too. It is a niche genre with a Pokemon skin slapped over it at the end of the day, so way more people are trying it out for the Pokemon side than the Mystery Dungeon side, and like Ben was saying, it probably doesn't help if you have little attachment to both sides. Looking forward to whatever update you have to report when the times comes, especially if you spend some time trying out the challenging postcredits content. L&R

Brad didn’t really touch on the fan service moment maybe not to spoil Ben but he mentioned yozora. The fan service moment is great if ur a close fan. Yeah overall it sucks a bit for what you have to do to get there since you’ve been through stuff before that already. There was also the kh2 reference for the kh2 stans lol.
