Gotta love modular synths. I usually only understand less than half of what is being explained, but it keeps fascinating me.

Oh, glad I am not alone then ;-) I like the end product, but the process to get there is like voodoo science for me.

I understood some of those words.

I made some tunes in Wario Ware DIY. It was so fun I thought "I'll try that Korg game on Switch..." But it blew my mind and I really have been going super slow. BUT THIS LOOKS LIKE YA GOTTA BE A GENIUS TA USE IT!! Well.. incredible stuff! Lovely music too! Awesome share Ian!

This is beautiful! Now we just need to hear more of this music.

I've played guitar/piano/drums my whole life and am pretty involved in music in general, but modular synth still kinda blows my mind. I haven't really looked into them outside of the Ian videos, but I really enjoy the glimpse he gives into the scene. It's like a guitar pedal board but 10x crazier

This reminds me of when I bought a new full frame DSLR last year and I had to resist the urge to drain my bank account on every single lens I could possibly buy for any god given occasion. Thankfully, I’ve resisted the urge but I can relate.

I had a few synths in mid nineties / 2000 during a productive IDM / techno phase. Grew out of the party, sold all hardware and switched to soft synths, Max MSP and midi as I started living in different corners of the world in smaller flats. Now back home in Germany after 15 years of travel with more space, I can see hardware creeping back in - from Moog's semi modular modules to Elektron stuff, a Soma Pulsar 23.. and an Intelligel 7/104 that magically populates itself. A dangerous habit to develop during lock down. "Just one more module.. until the rack is full."

Hi Ian, my name's Wayne. I reached out to you during NAMM in the before times when I was doing demos for a small eurorack company. Glad to see your rack steady growing! Am I the only patron into modular? I have lots of eurorack and synths as well. I make music as Panamint Manse. Anyone else in the EZA community also in the synth world? Anyway cheers I just wanted to say hi and that I hope to meet you out in the ether one fine day. Salut!

And I thought my pedalboard was complicated...

Just thinking about keeping track of all that makes me a bit dizzy. Thanks, Ian!
