Hey Allies, Mentioning the Sorcerer Supreme got me excited about Wanda hopefully showing up in the next Doctor Strange movie, but it also got me thinking. Do you prefer MCU movies that have a homogenous group of characters (i.e. similar rulesets, Cap v Winter Soldier, Wanda v Dr Strange) or do you prefer heterogeneous groups (i.e. mixing Iron Man and Dr Strange for example). There's a cohesiveness that comes from similar powers, but it also can be exciting seeing how they tackle throwing dissimilar characters together in the ensemble movies. I think at the end of the day I prefer the focused feel of option 1, but I'm curious how you guys feel.

I just want to say I love it when fan theories are 100% wrong. Also, White Vision felt unnecessary. Otherwise, really, really loved the show. It was a massive gamble and I saw a lot of people drop off after the first 2 episodes. Do you think the TV format hurt the shows appeal for a wider audience? Instead of a movie where you get a beginning, middle and end in 2 hours, WandaVision shows its cards over the course of 8 weeks in bite-sized chunks. Personally I loved the format - especially the release schedule being week to week, but just wondered if in the end it may have decreased viewership. L&R

Hey Allies, Here’s my general thoughts on the show. Definitely weird but intriguing the first couple episodes, got really interesting after that, but I think it ultimately had a kind of weak final episode. Wrapped up a little too predictably, though the after credits scene with Wanda in the cabin raises a lot of questions. I am interested what’ll happen with the new Vision too. And maybe I just wasn’t paying attention enough, but do they really explain how Monica activated her powers after she walks through Wanda’s bubble? Her getting them seemed to lean a little too much into plot convenience and setup for Captain Marvel 2. Overall though, great show, made me care more about Vision than I ever did in the movies, and both Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany were wonderful. I had no idea what to really expect before the show started and came out pleasantly surprised for the most part.

Personally I thought it was a well-executed and clever troll. I don't blame anyone for feeling burned by it I guess, but I don't know. I just thought it was funny. I never thought we needed to introduce the Fox X-Men universe into the MCU anyway. That franchise is done and ready to be rebooted into the MCU properly.

What an emotional roller coaster this show has been. I will preface by saying I'm a huge MCU fan, so there are many small nitpicks that I can just gloss over. And yes I will have a huge bias. I didn't go into this show expecting the next Breaking Bad. I expected more character interactions and development for two smaller avengers. And that's what I got. The first few episodes were so filled with mystery that I thoroughly enjoyed. All the way till episode 8, I couldn't be sure what was actually happening. And episode 8 & 9 just killed me with all the emotional beats. Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany are just absolutely brilliant in this show. Their comedic deliveries are so on point, and their emotional lines are delivered so perfectly. Kathryn Hahn has been phenomenal as well. Her transitions between Agnes and Agatha are seamless and so believable. Really hoping Paul Bettany (white vision) will come back in future MCU works, because he's so fantastic. Some of the lines were just such gems. "What is grief, if not love persevering?" "We've said goodbye before, so it stands to reason that, we will say hello again." Please just give whoever wrote these all the awards. I saw all the fan theories, and I won't lie that I've been overhyped by them. And that's on me. In the big picture, it made sense that there wasn't Mephisto or Nightmare behind the scenes pulling the strings. I liked that it was only Agatha. Sure, the darkhold might lead to Mephisto or Chthon, but I thought it made sense that they didn't add an "avengers-level threat" into a 9 episodes tv show. Overall I give this show a 9/10. It gave me everything I wanted. It made me laugh, it made me cry (so much), it made me sit on the edge of my seat in anticipation, and that's all I'm asking for from a MCU tv show. The only point deduction is for the reveal of who Evan Peters actually is. That was a straight-up troll from Marvel.

I enjoyed parts of the show, but ultimately it felt too much like advertising for the next MCU films. They couldn't help themselves from taking time out of the story to set up Captain Marvel and things like that. Monica had no real reason to be in the show other than to get powers, which happened in a rushed way anyways. The Agatha and Witch stuff felt rushed at the end to get Wanda into a new outfit and get her ready for Doctor Strange. I felt the emotional payoff of saying good bye to Vision was undone by them setting up ANOTHER Vision is out there, literally minutes before. Lots of set ups, little pay offs for those kinds of things. This show could have been half as long, and much stronger if they had focused in on the stuff that worked (and what, fundamentally, the show was actually supposed to be about). Episodes 4 and 5 being the stand outs.

Sure, I'll admit the final episode might have been over-hyped for as an amazing of a buildup it had and from fan-theorycrafting, but I really enjoyed the show. I only took issue with White Vision peacing-out, never to be seen again and Agatha's backstory being alittle bit glossed over (but that could be from expecting some Mephisto connection). I give high marks for the creators having the unmitigated gaul to not only fake out Fox Quicksilver with no X-men payoff, but naming him Ralph Boner to troll the theorycrafters. That is outright hilarious to me.

Hey Allies, How well do you feel Wandavision set-up the next phase of the MCU? I honestly don't know how we get from here to Spidey to Multiverse without making huge leaps in logic and doing some mental gymnastics.

How did you like the solution to the presented mysteries? I was happy with most of them except for Pietro. My problem with the character was that his casting only presented a mystery for the audience and not the characters. I prefer the audience and the characters being on the same wavelenght. As such I have to consider Evan Peters disappointing stunt casting. What's your take on it?

Did you find the initial two episodes made it hard to get into the show? I held off on watching after seeing a lot of negative reviews on the first two episodes, but after the hype of episode 5 with the appearance of Fox Quicksilver, I decided to try the show out. I found after they started to explain everything in episode 3, it made those episode make more sense and I enjoyed the show.

Do you guys think future shows need to cut down the amount of nods and references in order to manage fan expectations? A lot of nods in WandaVision turned out to be nothing, like Fox Quicksilver.

Hey Allies ! I loved the show in the beginning but ended up being disappointed the further it went along. I didn't really see any theories or such but I did think we would see the Hex birthing the mutants in a more significant way than just Monica. What disappointed me most was how the show went from brainy parody to ending on the usual MCU fanfare of special effects and super hero vs their evil double. By the end I still had so many questions like : What happened with White Vision ? Why and HOW was Ralph Bohner super fast ? Agnes has some evil magic that drains power when you attack her, right ? So Wanda throws everything at her and gets all wrinkly, but then she made runes so Agnes can't use all that magic she just drained. And just because of that she gets all her magic, youth and vitality back ? What ? Actually what did Agatha even want ? To learn the secrets of Wanda's power and steal it ? The actress was great but did we even need this antagonist ? Actually if Wanda was always a witch, does that make her a mutant ? Are mutants already out there ? Am I the only one who's super weirded out that Wanda and Vision didn't get to see their children GROW ??? Not even talking about them dying and stuff but them popping from age to age ! I don't know how you guys feel, but I'm honestly fatigued of waiting for the next thing to see the logical conclusions of this.

Biggest disappointments were the bait&swtich with Evan Peters and how they handled White Vision. Introduced and resolved within a few minutes, and why did he just fly away after "regaining" his memories, and how no one cared or even mentioned him afterwards... Overall though i liked the show quite a bit, and hope the other MCU shows can keep up.

Hello Allies! I was curious if you were following the hype or conspiracy theories week-to-week? I loved all the discussions and reading everyone's theories. If you also read the discussions, which prediction excited you the most and wished it would happen and were you disappointed if it didn't happen? I think the series ended well and although I was bummed that Fietro did not mark the return of the X-MEN, I loved the journey of the show!

My partner who isn't very familiar with the MCU watched Wandavision with me and her reaction was pretty much the same as mine - it was way more interesting when it acted as a companion piece to the movies by breaking down the genre and really dissecting Wanda's grief. There was still mystery around the circumstances of the town, but it didn't feel like it was just setting up the next thing like a lot of MCU movies do. Once Agatha revealed herself as the villain it became standard MCU fare and got a lot less interesting. I think we could have done this whole show without the evil witch or the macho military leader; just let Wanda and Vision come to terms with what happened, accept the damage that Wanda is doing, and make it right by saying goodbye. There's still a ton to explore there without cartoonish villains forcing her to come to that realization through force. Vision's now famous line about grief and love feels like it should have been the thesis of the show... but instead of really exploring that, the plot just kept going so it could introduce a bunch of pointless rules about magic and a fake vision and Skrulls and shit that didn't help to tell Wanda's story at all. It ended up just feeling like setup for the next thing. Random asides: A) Taking the Salem Witch Trials, a historic moment that's famous for showing what can happen when we let paranoia and a flawed justice system (and sexism) take hold, and twisting it into "Oh actually the witches WERE real and WERE super dangerous" feels... weird? B) Bringing back one of the only real casualties of the Infinity War with this white Vision was predictable because comic books, but doing it this soon sure makes me hesitant to even bother getting invested in the movies' consequences in the future. C) I'm not upset about the Fox Quicksilver bait, but it sure was a weird decision, and takes the wind out of the one potential connection to the larger MCU that actually did get me excited this season. It's going to be hard to get my partner interested in MCU stuff in the future now that the precedent is set that more unique stories are still likely to end the same way as everything else. I've always been a little down on the magic side of the MCU and how it connects with everything else, but the way this show started got me really invested. The ending left me quite underwhelmed. Also: The Malcolm in the Middle parody in particular was fantastic, but The Office-style opening really had me cackling.

I loved this whole concept of how Wanda finally got her origin story in this form, so to speak, after she arrived to MCU already in 2014/2015. Or perhaps we should talk about her evolution here, she finally becoming the Scarlet Witch the comics have shown her to be for all these years. All that talk about Wanda being this mythical being, a witch more powerful than even Sorcerer Supreme, like Agatha stated. I was really into that. And what this all did to her character, meaning the public now most likely fears and hates her for this whole torture stunt. Big steps for her in Phase 4 that just got started! Your thoughts about the big picture?

I had a friend complain that they thought the show was full of unresolved mysteries and questions that either went nowhere or have just been left open (the fake-out on Quicksilver, the fact the children are just an invention and have vanished from the show, that too many of Wandavision's red herrings turned out to be just...nothing) . Are there any unresolved storylines or open questions that left you dissatisfied with the finale?

Hi Guys! In the credits, Paul Bettany is credited as being both "Vision" and "The Vision". Do you think this cements the idea that despite White Vision having the memories of pre-Infinity War Vision, Vision as a person is dead, and White Vision is a different being? Given Wanda and Vision's parting words, do you think we will see original Vision again in some form?

I think many people, myself included, loved WandaVision because of how weird and wild it was in comparison to the rest of the MCU. That's a big part of the reason I found the last episode disappointing, because it was just a return to the standard Marvel laser beam battle formula. With that in mind, does the panel find that WandaVision has changed how the feel about the rest of the MCU (and it's formula) at large, whether for good or ill?

I loved the finale with the one glaring exception of how Pietro's arc was finished. Do you guys think there's a chance that he comes back or do you think this is Marvel's way of saying that the Fox X-Men characters are not going to be part of the MCU?

Regarding Evan Peters/Fake Pietro, do you think marvel and disney underestimated fanbase expectations upon his appearance? I know fans tend to go to the extremes of expectations and theories. However, when you put an actor directly from the x-men universe who played the same hero, what else are fans supposed to believe besides some introduction to the x-men or multiverse? Show is still superb despite this, but I thought it was unnecessary for disney and marvel to play with fire like this.

So I seriously loved the show, like I was in awe at what was being put on screen. So much of it felt like it was made for fans and played with expectations so well. However, I felt that by the time it reached the ending, I don't know, I thought there would be more, or something... extra! The post credit scene was really cool (the second one) but, did you also think that it was a great season with a fine ending but also expected more?

I loved it ! My biggest question and miss understanding is, where did white vision go?? It was basically vision being back with all his memory, including his love for wanda and just disappears when she is in great danger.

I am alright with the show not having a "big bad" like Mephisto or Nightmare and that is was story all about Wanda Maximoff. Now for the my question. Your take on Ralph Bohner? It turns out the fake Pietro the internet was creating wild theories about was just a Westview resident who lived in the house next door to where Wanda's house would be. It seems that Agatha possesses Ralph to use as the "recast Pietro" and uses his home as a base of operations. Are you disappointed that he was not the Fox version of Quicksilver which would have implied a grander multiverse? Did Disney pay 71.3 billion dollars for Fox just to make a boner joke?

What was your interpretation of Vision’s ending? My assumption is that Anti-Vision’s recognition of his own existence as a unique version of Vision combined with the final exchange between Wanda and “her” Vision are teasing a future reunion. Also please state why Kathryn Hahn needs her own MCU show or film, because she simply stole this one.

Was really disappointed that they didn't mess with the Pleasantville vibes more. Would the panel have wanted something more in the vein of a tense thriller (or dare I say, like Silent Hill, where her fears begin to manipulate the world) instead of palette swap characters slap fighting at the end?

I actually loved it. I went in with no expectations and finished it excited to see what effect this will have on the future of Marvel. The pacing of those first couple episodes was all over the place, but it never kept me from wanting to know what was going to happen next. There were a couple of scenes in this show that made me cry harder than maybe any Marvel movie so far. That’s saying something for 2 characters I didn’t really care to much for before the show stated. As for questions, will we see that white vision again? How do you feel about there being magic in the MCU now and where do you want them to go with it?

I would also like to add that I really hope in future MCU projects they will reference the torture Wanda caused and how messed up it really is when you think about it. Maybe the residents of Westview sue Wanda and hire She-Hulk or Daredevil as their lawyer?

I found the show began to lose intrigue when the sitcom pastiches weren't being used, I understand they eventually had to move away from them to resolve the story, and having the sitcoms become more modern was a nice touch, but the final episode felt like at outlier rather than a grand finale, the mystery had already been resolved, and there were little to no consequences for Wanda's actions. Overall, the series was great and extremely stylish, and worth it if only for the introduction of Agatha, but the ending did leave me wanting something more.

So happy you're doing a spoiler mode for this. Liked the series overall but was very dissapointed at the lack of a greater big bad and how Wanda suddenly become so extremely powerful. I was hoping there was another force at play feeding her more power for their own gain. Now she's just extremely powerful and they'll have to de-power her whenever a new Avenger threat appears.

A while back Huber made a comment about how the MCU, when taken as a whole, is strong than the sum of its parts, and WandaVision feels in many ways to be a bit of a redemption story for Age of Ultron, which on its own is one of the weaker films in the series, but even now it's providing rich narrative ground to be expanded upon in WandaVision. I even appreciate the little touches like the specific movements Wanda does to cast the illusion on Agatha, the way she did to Cap and Iron Man back in Age of Ultron.

Do you think that the show was helped or hindered by the weekly release format? On one hand, I appreciate the mystery building. On the other hand, spacing the episodes out caused me to get caught up in the internet zeitgeist of hype and theories. While I don't think it ruined WandaVision for me, I would've been better off staying away from theories and speculation, and just taking the show as it was.

I need the panels thoughts on the line from the last episode when Monica tells Wanda “They'll never know what you sacrificed for them". To me this one exchange undercut so much of the goodwill the show had built up. It seemed like they added this to try to soften the blow of all the torment Wanda did to the town throughout the show. Where in the same episode you had those towns people pleading to die to be free.
