Hello all!
Apologies on my brief hiatus this month--it's been a busy season for me and mine, we're moving! So while this is just the third map I've put out this month, I'll hope to be able to get out the final two before the end of the week, but we'll see.
Regardless, here is the dungeon map I've been working on for a Fire Giants' forge! Commissioned by fellow patron Alex Embrey, this map represents an area he is leading his players to where they will (hopefully) not perish, but instead discover the army of constructs they're working on.
Using Alex's thoughtful notes and taking inspiration from the existing well-known Fire Giant lairs in D&D canon I hoped to create a flexible arena that would suit both/either a chaotic fight across multiple connected islands surrounded by lava or instead perhaps a daring, stealth-ridden info-gathering mission involving some precarious ledges and creative use of the water flume above?
For those of you interested in the multiple means of egress, the topside hallway leads above to several mine shafts, while the bottomside hallway leads to assembly of the constructs and storage. The naturally formed crack in the wall on the top part of the forges is just barely wide enough for medium creatures to pass through (barring they actually stumble upon the entrance and make some good acrobatics checks...) and the large doors on the right side of the forge lead to the Fire Giant residencies beyond.
Was glad to return to a dungeon map again and I hope you all find some good use in it! You'll find several variations in the pack, as per usual.
