In recent months I seem to have had dwarves on the mind with the release of Axeholm, Dwarven Excavation, and Societal Assets 1. And in true If You Give a Mouse a Cookie fashion, if you're going to make dwarven assets, they'll be sure to ask for Mining Assets next. The predecessor to today's pack was released almost 5 years ago and while it has continued to remain vibrantly functional much longer than it had any right to, the theme's been owed an update.
Mining Assets 2 Contains:
A scattered amount of new rocks and importantly "ore-veined" rocks to help visualize the presence of minerals
A wide litany of new rock piles to help save you the effort of tediously placing each and every stone (unless that's your thing! not here to rock shame)
New tools and equipment associated with mining such as pickaxes, winches, bolts, and levers
A diverse variety of different "styles" of mine cart with the goal of allowing the set to be equally useful when outfitting a roughshod cave some hobgoblins are scraping out as well as when building the highly polished dwarven mines beneath the city
Two new seamless mine cart paths and a new seamless scaffold path, made with the same intent as the above. These are accompanied by track accessories like turntables, buffer stops, and track ramps.
For my example map I borrowed the layout from my map of the Werewolf Den, hollowed out the debris, bones, and werewolf fur, and furnished it with ore-laden rock walls, track, and tools allowing for an instantly ready-to-use, expansive mineshaft map
The Dungeondraft-ready conversion of Mining Assets 2 contains all of the standard assets as objects within the pack as well as a good majority of them with colorable counterparts. You'll also find three new path options: one for each of the new mining track styles and another for the new scaffolding bridge/walkway.
Enjoy!
