I wanted to take this time to explain the (current approach) to developing relationships with characters.
There are multiple impacts: Attraction, Loyalty, Mood etc.
More than what is shown in the picture.
So, if he/she has:
High attraction + High Experience (XP) = Love
Low loyalty + High Experience (XP) = Hate
Your actions increase or decrease these values: but not linearly, some increase more or less based on the character (I do this by using weightings).
Someone can't fall in love with you immediately, this is where XP comes into play.
You can level up your relationship with people in different ways i.e. you can level up your loyalty with someone but still have a low degree of attraction.
How someone views you, impacts what ways they respond, it also impacts what options are available to you.
