Did I say sister?
Well, the truth is, Aphoros is a clone - Nyrissa is the original and made her. Why? Well read on.
Nyrissa was always gifted, any close competition such as Kira and her sister were bound by strict ethics - so they never stood a chance at winning the Prize of Gerdan for excellence in science.

But, there were others, more successful and better funded. Nyrissa cursed the fact she had to sleep and eat, so it dawned upon her creating a clone could double her productivity... maybe triple if she kept going.

We all know the results, Aphoros became a twisted version of her; emphasising all her hidden prejudices and suppressing empathy. Well, that's how the ethics board saw it, when they stripped her of title and merit.

That didn't stop Nyrissa, in fact it only encouraged her.

But she isn't exactly liked, you'll have to search the fleet well to find her early on before you meet Aphoros. But it will totally be worth it.

Nyrissa is exceptionally h*rny all the time , she constantly throws innuendos at you and has zero interest in anything other than becoming an Astraria at best, casual fling at worst.

Come to Nyrissa when you need an unfiltered, but educated opinion on things. Just don't hang around too long, she might find a use for you.
