Background:

Shenza din’Hooba grew up the second, and youngest, son of a crofter in the small desert kingdom of  Rhukayeen. His older brother, Hooba Fett, developed a split personality and left at age sixteen to pursue a life at the local monastery where he became a renowned monk. That left Shenza as the only man on the farm to take care of his father’s crops.

On Shenza’s Day of the Wind (his eighteenth birthday and “coming of age”), a wizard from the College of Raexora arrived to test him for magical ability. When Shenza was discovered to have “the gift” he was accepted into the college.

Over his two years at the college, Shenza learned the basics of the arcane. He discovered he had a knack for evocation, abjuration, and transmutation. He ignored summoning spells in favor of his specializations and gained recognition among his instructors. Upon graduation, his mentor even wrote him a letter of recommendation to the court wizards for the Emperor of Rhukayeen.

Shenza was accepted into the order of court wizards where he served the Emperor Ju’Yin for four years.

After his service to the Emperor, Shenza took the name Lefty to conceal his identity as an adventurer and set out into the world to seek his own fortune.
