The Future

Meowdy,

As many of you are aware it looks like Patreon has finally started to show their intentions for the platform and it's creators. It is no longer a place for the many creators and marginalized communities who produce explicit content.

I understand the perspective that as a platform they do not want to foster the creation of potentially harmful content nor would one want to normalize it.

After the initial rulings on NSFW content the other year it was made obvious that Patreon was no longer interested in creating a safe and trustworthy environment for this kind of content.

It's a frustrating and reoccurring series of events that seems to happen with every new platform that allows NSFW content: Allow it, get big, and now kick them out.

A lot of creators thrive on this platform and others make a living in an otherwise punishing world. If these creators were actually causing harm they wouldn't have such supportive and diverse communities that aren't exclusively crazed sex gremlins living in the undercroft.

I've met a lot of people within this community and like any group of people you will find some who intend to cause harm, but the majority of them are everyday people who enjoy life just like everyone else.

What does this mean for you, Mewdles?

My Founders and most of my Supporters have been some of the most kind and patient people I've ever known. I was honest up front that I wanted to do something for Patreon, but with the my current circumstance in life most of my focus has been trying to take care of myself and making sure the bills are paid while trying to be the best partner I can be for my significant other.

While it wasn't much at times the fact that you were willing to pledge every month meant so much to me that I've been trying hard to find ways to show my appreciation in a special way.

To be real: You, the Patrons, were saving me in rough situations without even knowing it was happening. From making bills on time to just having something to eat it was always helping me and not going towards frivolous spending.

I will keep my Patreon going for as long as I can. There is no guarantee that I won't one day wake up to find it suspended or removed entirely. This also means there will probably be no future plans for any substantial pushes to get content here for you lovely bunch. However, life is full of surprises and maybe Patreon will become my SFW haven for just painful cuteness overload.

What's going to happen with ACP?

If you're asking this question then you're about as hardcore of a follower as one can get around here.

ACP is a bit of a mystery right now in terms of development: I do want to keep working on it, but with the pressure of keeping up on expenses and burying myself in commissions it's hard to find the energy to put work into something I can't really "code" on my own.

I might have to start a personal blog for ACP and other lewd projects and I will provide information about that once it becomes available, but you can always keep up with my things on Inkbunny.

Gift for the Founders

Okay, the Founders already know this (maybe), but there's a special gift I'm working on for Founders. It's actually a bit stalled at the moment because I've been stumped on what to draw for it, but the original 10 Founders are going to be getting exclusive limited edition 3 x 3 vinyl stickers.

"Oh, but I'm not a Founder so I won't get the super awesome Mewdles merch!"

Well hey, if it goes well and the stickers come out nice I do plan on doing a slightly less fancy version for everyone else. For now, I'm not sure because I have to consider the cost of getting them printed and shipped (especially, internationally). So keep an ear out!

Stop posting walls of texts you daft git!

Hey, I drew something this time. Also, did you hear about my Discord? If you become Supporter you can get access to special channels to talk loudly at me. I dunno. I just work here.

Comments

thank you for the update mewdles, its a real shame how us nsfw content creators have to seemingly step on eggshells when posting on popular platforms because you never know when, out of nowhere, rules will change and all the sudden we lose another way to support ourselves

This is a really well thought out post. Thanks for the update Mewds πŸ’
