From her reaction, it seems that she had thought that her husband was dead, as she couldn’t believe him when she saw him. Also, in her current situation, she had no hopes of marrying anyone since she is already Ketil’s slave, so no question of getting anyone’s hopes up. From what I see, Einar resembles her husband a lot, and he is genuinely a nice, kind and chirpy guy. Arnheid enjoys chatting with him, and they both know that that will be the extent of their relationship given their respective status
