Perfect Home [v.1.14.1]: Patreon Edition

Good evening, folks! Thanks for bearing with me again-- I intended to post this update much MUCH sooner, but I've just, continually been getting held back by EVERYTHING these past couple of months. Early on in June, I caught a REALLY bad respiratory infection while I was out at pride. It completely laid me out and I had to delay things for the sake of my health! (I'm getting mildly sick and tired of random acts of God putting me behind on all my projects, between this and that one massive power outage). After I recovered I was hoping to release something before Anthrocon... but preparing for that ate up a lot of my time, and immediately after THAT, I had to move to a new apartment (AGAIN!!!!)-- so yeah! Busy cat.

I'll keep these notes short for now: with this update, I've finally introduced the ability to date everyone's favorite stoat! I know Julian's been a huge fan favorite character ever since I released him early into the project's development, so I'm really, REALLY excited to see everyone's reactions to one of his biggest content updates in a hot minute. There's another half to his dates that tie everything off with a big colorful bow, but I elected to hold off on adding them until the next PH update, so that I can ensure he receives all of the polish he deserves.

I've also added in the scenes I wanted you all to see for Coco in the LAST update! It turned out I needed to write a little more for them anyway. The first batch of scenes you can enjoy from tipping them are now available! I really like the idea of having a cute wholesome lil' critter who gradually becomes/reveals themselves to be more and more of a total freak-- there's a lot of bitey, hungry, perverted desires hiding inside this fox that only really start to unravel thanks to a smug cat's corruptive influence. I intend to add a few more scenes that really dive into this, but it's not the biggest priority right now. It's just a cute thing I wanted to add for the sake of all the fox stuff I've released lately!

I also took this time to do some very light polishing/rewriting for Felicity's date content, and I finally took this time to correct the pronouns in the scenes that entails. It really made me want to get more elaborate with the dates just in general, as well as to expand on Felicity's-- though I don't want to get too ambitious until I'm not juggling so much stuff...

Coming up for the project's future, I'll be working with my good friend Gerrark on the next major rival for Perfect Home: the boar I've mentioned a few times previously, Mace, has entered development, and will be fully available at some point before the end of the year! This fulfils one of my major personal goals for 2025, and ALSO frees me up to focus on other aspects of the game, so I'm really excited!

Some of you might already be familiar with Gerrark's writing already! He was a writer on a project called Memory Leak, which is a VERY GAY little cyberpunk visual novel that I cannot recommend enough-- it's been a huge inspiration for some of the bad ends in PH, so much that I've listened to its soundtrack while finishing various game overs/loss scenes just to get in the mood! This will be the second time I've ever hired someone to develop major content for the project, the first being when I hired Limewah for the deer cleric's hunt, and I typically don't consider hiring people for a job like that unless I feel I can seriously vouch for 'em. I'm excited to see what he can do for PH, both for Mace and just in general!

That's about it for now. The next update for Perfect Home will introduce the second half of Julian's dating arc, and I HOPE to also add in a mechanic for dressing up your servants, similar to how you can make new costumes for Felicity in Perfect Girlfriend! However, next month's update will probably feature some content I've discussed in the dev chat previously: an approval/discipline system for Felicity in Perfect Girlfriend, since I have a good chunk of scenes already pre-written and ready to go for it! I hope to drop it a couple of weeks in. I won't jinx myself by saying WHEN exactly I'll release this update, though, considering I'm already fairly preoccupied with the projects I've mentioned before-- as well as so much other stuff slowing down my roll. xwx;;

PATCH NOTES:

• You can now take Julian out on a series of dates by using the Good Wine item, introducing several new scenes!

• Updated Felicity's pronouns to be accurate when pursuing her dating content.

• Added in several new scenes for Coco, which can be permanently unlocked upon giving enough to their tip jar!

• If you run out of money after visiting Rieki, they will generously feed your estate for you for a night, raising your submissiveness.

• Several scenes have received art updates, including Julian's initial stage performances, various interactions with your servants, and a handful of paw scenes!
