State of affairs! Update schedule! What to expect!

Hey meow, a quick announcement about the recent delays since WPAFW in October!

When the itchio situation unfolded mid-way through the year, I was, financially, scared!!! I felt like I had to take on a part-time day job just to cover my bases. I hoped it would improve my productivity to have more of a work-life balance, while also helping to pay my rent. I only realized how heavily it was cutting into development time very recently, and as soon as I did, I put in my two weeks so that I can give this project my full attention. This is the MUCH cooler job, thanks to all of you!

However!

None of that is an excuse for failing multiple times to meet the deadlines I keep setting for myself. I have enough financial security that I can safely reassure you: if you want to pull your patronage back this month, I completely understand, and hope to release a series of updates worth resubscribing for soon. I'm incredibly frustrated that things have gotten so far away from me and although I greatly appreciate the support, I don't want to be one of those devs that takes it for granted. With everything out of the way-- no more moving, nothing that immediately bothers me-- I don't think it'll be a problem again.

Although development time was limited while I was working a second job, it's not like nothing was getting done: Gerrark has written 80+ pages worth of Mace's content, effectively all of it, and Julian's dating arc will also be ready for release in a couple of weeks-- though I'll aim to release it by the end of December, just to be safe and make sure it's well-polished.

As a quick list in addition to that, I've been speaking with a couple musicians to compose new songs for distractingly silent scenes, I'm (still) hoping to revise the server soon, and the new Perfect Girlfriend update will be posted on the 2nd of December! It introduces a new branching encounter, new scenes in the basement, and a new mechanic: Composure, which determines how lewdly you behave in certain scenes! I intend to release all of the next updates in the following order:

• December 2nd: Perfect Girlfriend v.0.5: Meowster's Finest (Self-visoring scene & being rented out by Citrine)

• December 24th: Perfect Home v.1.14.2: I Sing The Body Electric (Julian dating & quality-of-life fixes)

• January 14th: Perfect Home v.1.15.1: Gears & Cogs (Mace: Part 1)

• February 1st: Perfect Home v.1.15.2: Delving Too Deep (Mace: Part 2)

Although, if I'm unable to get all of the art I need from Hepta in time, I'll be forced to delay again-- as the final rival before I start polishing everything and setting the stage for the game's last half, I want everything related to him and his area to be perfect.

Admittedly, I'm feeling more than overwhelmed with the sheer amount of work I have to take care of-- this doesn't even acknowledge all of the other projects I'm close to finishing but haven't had the time for, like the visual novels. I'm positive I can get through each of them in a timely, orderly fashion now that I'm free from a day job and my moving troubles... but I WILL still have to move very slowly on everything.

It's annoying to have so much on my hands-- scenes, art, etc, all from some of the most talented people I know-- and not being able to finish what's needed to bring all of these things together, purely because of my time and availability. I've been working pretty much non-stop these past few days since I have them off, but even then I can only manage so much in such little time. I hate repeatedly asking for your patience, but if I can have it for just a short while longer, I'm confident things will stay stable enough that I can get us back on a consistent schedule. Maybe call it a week-early birthday gift for me, if you like. ; w;
