I always assumed it was another middling 5/10 animated film from that period so was interested to hear you praising it. While I found the overall plot and the way they uses the classic monsters setting was only a little above average in quality (why do they all act like they have nothing to do with humans!? they famously murder/eat/haunt/are created by them!) the stylish animation really stood out. The animators and designers clearly had a huge amount of fun with it, especially dracs movement and emoting. Was a real treat for the eyes in that regards.
