Sheβs often associated with the six headed monster Scylla (Sill-ah). In Homerβs The Odyssey, Odysseus and his crew had to sail through the Strait of Messina on their journey home. On one side of the strait, Charybdis was threatening to suck the ship into her whirlpool if they got too close, but on the other side, Scylla was waiting on a cliff and snatched up and ate the sailors when they got too close to her.

And assuming she and her mother were about to die on earth it's pretty safe to say her mother is dead. Don't expect her to appear in the story other than in the dream world Rimuru created for Shizu. (Hope that is no spoiler, it's just the conclusion from things we heard from Veldora in the first episode). Besides she would probably have died of old age anyways, since even Shizu was in her seventies.
