A little bit of everything.

Update 1.4

Working on it. Or maybe it will be 1.5? Judging by the plan it will be somewhat more than 1.3 but less than 1.2. In any case, these figures are only a tentative, approximate volume of the finished part of the chapter. As I wrote before, a more precise release date will be given at the end of April when I will see how much is ready and how much is left.

About the update's content without spoilers.

1.4 also retains some ambivalence because of the differences in the paths of Iolanta and Cadonis. Somewhere half of the content will vary depending on this. The other half will be shared.

Towards the update’s end, there will even be a bit of free movement mode and exploration of a small location. But a small one! I know a lot of people like the free exploration from the first half of Chapter 1. But Chapter 2 has a different objective. Establishing relationships with companions and first challenges. Relationships are mostly the first half of this chapter, but challenges are in the second half. There's not much room for free exploration here, too many things have to be mapped out and defined. Chapter 3, on the other hand, will be built on free movement and exploration mode, with the time factor. Except that the events will unfold not in an out-of-the-way provincial village, but in a big city... Oh, I hope I'll cope with this. But that's for later, and right now I have enough work to do with Chapter 2.

There will be a bunch of cat moments in the upcoming update, a couple is already in my dev version. No, I haven't forgotten about the cat. By the way, I should add a poll about the cat. I mean, how many people take Pitchy with them? This point is not a binding part of the main story (otherwise there would be no choice to take the cat or not). But how much effort and time I should spend on working through these cat moments is exactly what the poll will help me understand. After all, if most people take a cat with them, then I need to pay more attention to this. And if not... well, then a little less cat, a little more work on the other scenes.

At the time of writing these lines, 42 people have voted, which is half the current number of patrons. The other half... well, they're just busy. Yeah... :'-( Anyway…

The strong positions of Heiress and Noble did not surprise me. You could say it was expected. But Survivor and Vargant surprised me. To be honest, I thought it would be the opposite. After all, Vagrant, so far, probably has the most weight in terms of unique content. It's just... the thieving girl has more opportunities to show her character and tendencies in current events. As for Survivor... Damn, I didn't realize so many people shared my love of characters with dramatic depth. I feared for this Origin to be honest. Reading about some things in the first person can be... a bit too much for some people. Turns out I was worried for nothing. This is the most popular Origin so far. Curiously, indeed.
