I'll try reuploading it. Will probably make it a separate post!

That's really weird guys! I don't know what's up. It's still working on my end. YouTube doesn't say it's blocked in any particular countries either :( Let me look into it

Yeah, so, they really stress during the first season that when you join the Night’s Watch your crimes are forgiven. Rapists, murderers, and traitors go there. Jon was shocked when Tyrion first pointed this out to him because he naively thought The Wall was an honorable place to be. And it used to be, but now not so much. The rule is that once they are there they can not be prosecuted or harmed. I think this is why Ned allowed Jon to join. Ned would no longer be at Winterfell to protect him, so The Wall and Benjen are the next best things, right?

Another little irony I love... Alliser Thorne was sent to the wall because he was a Targaryen loyalist, and he hated Jon because he was Ned's son. *awkward*

I think you could be right. The other thought I had here was that next time he would see Jon he'd be a sworn brother, thus out of Robert's reach (theoretically).

Thanks, Eric! 🤗 The more I think about what Ned sacrificed and the choices he made, the more I love and admire him. His promise is woven through everything. He truly wants to protect Cersei’s children from Robert, and Dany from Robert, as he’s been protecting Jon from Robert from the day of his birth. When he says to Jon, “the next time we see each other...”, I think he knows the only way he might ever go North & see Jon again is if Robert has died, removing the threat to Jon’s life.

Huh! That's surprising.
Oh I know it's the same place. I was curious if it was the same tournament. Like was Jaime made Kingsguard the same few days Rhaegar beat Barriston Selmy?

First thing--I've watched a lot of reactions to GoT, and you're the only reactor I've seen who figured out Jon's parentage only from the show. It's much more clear in the books (though not yet revealed), which is why GRRM asked D&D about their thoughts--it was a test to see if they were invested in the nuance of the story. In fact, I've seen several reactors completely miss the significance of the reveal, so... yeah.
Good catch on Little Finger's face in the crypt. I'm sure he knew some aspect of the truth, because he is LF, but it makes me wonder who else knew... or at least had suspicions. Oh, yes, it is the same Harenhal (I think that's what you were asking).

Also; D & DB (for all that they have messed up) actually DID know who Jon's mother is. I mean, it hasn't been revealed as such in the books yet. But there have been many hints. Even more than in the show. So GRRM wanted to know how well D & DB paid attention to the books and whether they'd pick up the secret. They did. So GRRM said they were good enough to make the show.

Babe you gotta think about how history is written in the real world. The winners write the story. It doesn't matter to anyone how Rhaegar actually was. Except to Dany, who idolizes and mourns her brother, and Barristan, who was one of Rhaegar's best friends.
