One of the weirder paintings I'd like to share was from 2013, and was inspired by Phantom of the Opera.

It featured Richard Overfield, who later modeled a number of pieces for me. You may remember him from the Star Wars piece!

I was using creams at the time, and I painted his entire body, so I even have a shot of the rear!

Creams are wonderful for blending, but very difficult to wash out of brushes or off the skin. These days I use them sparingly, and mostly focus on water based paints.

Before I begin any piece, I usually colorblock what I need.

Sometimes I have to hang the model sideways because Patreon won't flip the picture correctly. :P I was surprised how agile he was, balancing without any support!

This was also before I had a decent camera, so please forgive the quality. <3 I've grown a LOT over the years with both my paint and photography skills.

But just remember, only you can prevent forest fires!
Hope you enjoyed this! I found a lot of photos I did not share before, and wanted to give you all a little present. Happy Sunday.
