Wow. So this happened. A totally unexpected last minute decision to turn a typical fabric blindfold into spikes birthed this beautiful beast of a body painting.
This card can be a darker card, if we're being honest. It may deal with trauma, negative thoughts, abuse, imprisonment, or feeling like the victim in a situation. For reference, I started with the Rider-Waite deck example and then created the vision you see above!

Initially I did not have such a stark color scheme in mind, but as conversations with Ben Garren (the model above) unfolded, I tapped into the energy that seemed appropriate. This is what was born from our hard work (and it was definitely a challenge).
Best Tardy assisted with this project (thank you!) so I want to make sure he's recognized. Recently he's been helping me paint some of the base layers so that I may put detail on top faster. He's honestly a huge sweetheart, and I hope I'm lucky enough to marry him one of these days. :-)
