Lately I've been having a number of conversations about magic and art, and how the two may intersect. I've learned that some infuse their art pieces with words of intent such as "Buy Me" or "See Me" when trying to lure prospective buyers.

That's wild! For me, it's always been about the connection to the art, and more recently the person I'm painting. Like Tamira Burns here. Being able to channel that energy is unlike any feeling I can describe. Especially when everything just WORKS.
In Tamira's case though, just before her first body painting session for Tarot, she became very ill with COVID-19. This meant we had to delay her session for months while she slowly healed. We stayed in contact, and eventually the card was painted!

Because of the positive experience, she came back for another exploration of art. During this session, we talked about putting magic into art.

From what she described, and others that I spoke with, it's often the intent that matters the most. When I paint people, I try to fill them with light, and to inspire them to conquer anything. Sometimes people just need to hear that their problems are valid, or that their body is beautiful. Forming these meaningful connections builds a network of support.

Art connects people together, so that we may dream, be inspired, and to do the impossible.

I have more to say on magic and art, but until then, know that every brush stroke that dances across the skin is purposeful. And some day, I hope you're able to experience a transformation like Tamira here! Wouldn't that be wild?
Love,
Brandon
P.S. I'm painting today and tomorrow! <3
