2022 Recap - Part Two

Happy New Year, and welcome back to the Recap, Part Two. A lot happened in January, but this post will cover a few months of time.

Just want to say thank you for your support, before we begin, because without you I wouldn't be able to be a full time artist.

Now that the Tarot Deck is (mostly) shipped, I plan on focusing on my Patreon more. This community I've built is important to me, and I need to do a better job engaging in it. So thank you for sticking with me. It was honestly a really weird year for me, but I'd like to focus on the positives today. :)

One thing I did a LOT more of in 2022 was Model.

FEBRUARY

I absolutely pushed myself to step out of my comfort zone this year. I was told in my twenties that I should of modeled, but I ignored all of that because I was too self conscious and had a very different perception of myself.

Some of 2022 was spent breaking those walls down, like the time I modeled for Leif Gregan in early February!

I also beat Arceus, which I loved. Probably one of my favorite Pokemon titles, and one that I keep thinking about replaying. Which is not like me at all XD

It was a month of strange fashion choices that I don't regret:

And very eccentric makeup!

I met Jacob for the first time (he's coming again in February!)

Want to know something hilarious? He laughed so hard he had tears coming down his eyes, which I tried to turn into art, but he kept adding his own special fx. We love that journey for him.  🤣

The next day we were invited to a party by Josh and James (I later attended their wedding, which I'll talk about later). It was fun!

I spent some time with my brother Chris! I feel like I don't really talk about him much. He's an artist too, mostly focusing on poetry, but dabbling a little in art.

I then painted Hunter Kerlek, who I was spending time with a lot. He traded me some real mushrooms for this Mushroom themed painting.

A silly moment in between:

I hope this post is making you smile!

So I'm going to be honest, I just took a look at March... and a LOT happens. It looks like February is going to get it's own installment after all!

Is it because I shaved my head? *GASP*

To conclude this post, I attended the Renaissance Festival, and was called the "Elton John of Ren Fest"! Really made me smile to be compared to an icon.

Appreciating You,

Brandon
