Gazing Into The Future + Drew

Hi folks! How is your July treating you so far?

I think I'm recovered from last week. My goodness, that was a streak of some amazing art sessions. Let me break it down, before we jump into Drew's shoot. 

Wednesday: Thomas delivered an absolutely electric shoot! 10 years in the making. What a memorable time, and nailed every pose and then some.
Thursday: First time model, and patron supporter, Rick joined us in the studio from Florida! Had a wonderful session, and then we went to dinner after.
Friday: Chris was "Spirited Away" with a Mizayaki inspired body painting. Can't wait to show more!
Saturday: Randall sponsored Benjamin to be transformed into a Magic the Gathering inspired body painting
Sunday: Donald came over and we made over Barbies! He filmed it, and is planning on releasing the film soon. More on that later <3

So as you can see, lots to edit! I started on a chunk of it today. Including more of Drew, who you will see when you scroll belowwww!

Shall we dive into some more art then?

I had a lot of fun making art with Drew. That first photo? Never tried a looking glass ball before! This represents only a fraction of our amazing shoot.

During our session we talked about a lot of different inspirations, including the filmmaker Black Spark!

Drew is an endlessly fascinating human, and was also Pan from Gods and Monsters.

I just realized the same staff he had back then, has made an appearance in this shoot all these years later! What a lucky staff ;)

Nice to see that Teal also makes a strong appearance in both of his paintings. 

I do like the simpler colors scheme here though, it reminds me of Shadow of the Colossus. Do you remember that painting?

This painting is not a spiritual successor to that painting, but shares some DNA with it, that's for sure. I love creating these little universes!

But we haven't even gotten to the best part...

Did I mention Drew utilized his piercing for the body painting shoot?

It was amazing! <3 Suddenly I wondered why I haven't worked with more!
