[Beginning Book 02]

“How did the three of you become Elemental Gods? I'm still stuck as a Rank 8 Embryonic Deity...” A girl said in shock as she looked at the group of three young gods passing in the corridor.

“You've become a Rank 8 Embryonic Divinity? I tried my hardest to become a Rank 7 embryonic deity by the end of the test, hoping that I could get a good enough score to pass, but apparently the cut-off mark this year will be very high...” A boy commented in a low voice while looking on enviously.

Not only were these two students acting envious and astonished, but all the other students who felt that power also had similar expressions on their faces.

Even those students who had somehow discovered the internet in the mortal world were still amazed at how much Divine Power that internet yielded to make these three students so strong.

Lucy Wavecrest becoming strong was no surprise to them, as she had always shown great potential and mastery of her power in class, but Zane Dreadmourne was a big surprise.

In all the teachers' tests over the last few years, he has always remained below the Top 10, hovering around the Top 15.

Considering that the class had just over 30 students, he was the exact example of a mediocre student.

Seeing him jump from the middle of the table to the Top 3 was surprising.

But no more surprising than seeing Adrian Innovashine's transformation...

If Zane going from the Top 15 to the Top 3 was shocking, they didn't even have words to describe Adrian's transformation from the bottom of the class to the top!

Before long, the students who knew about the internet started spreading the information they knew about it to the other students, making everyone shocked at Adrian's ingenuity to make his deity, which seemed so useless because of the great limitations it had, become the strongest deity in the mortal world!

“Silence.” The teacher said in a firm voice when the group of students arrived in the school auditorium, causing everyone to fall silent.

Looking at the group of three Elemental Gods sitting at the back of the auditorium, the teacher's stern expression changed to one of appreciation for a split second before returning to a serious one.

“After 30 days of testing and constant monitoring of you, the school has managed to analyze your strengths, weaknesses and the potential you have for investment.” He said as his gaze swept over all the students.

“Make no mistake, the school not seeing immediate potential in you doesn't mean that you won't be useful or powerful in the future, just that there are students who will make better use of this investment for the army in the future.” The teacher tried to ease the situation for those who wouldn't be chosen.

But even with the teacher's words, the students still knew that they were unlikely to be chosen, especially with such brilliant examples as the trio of Elemental Gods at the back of the auditorium.

“Adrian Innovashine, because of your creativity in how to use your divinity, knowing how to understand your strengths and weaknesses, leaving aside the focus on investing in your own strength but using your Divine Power to invest in more ways of getting as many believers as possible and getting as much Divine Power from each believer every day, the school saw great potential in you, so you can accompany me.”

Listening to the teacher's speech, the students who still didn't understand the internet were surprised again at how much the school was valuing Adrian.

"What's so special about this ‘Internet’? ” most of them thought.

Hearing this, Adrian got up from where he was sitting at the back of the auditorium and walked calmly and confidently to the stage, standing behind the teacher as he waited for it to end.

Just looking at Adrian's appearance was already surprising to some young gods, who only remembered the shy, thin and frightened appearance Adrian had shown in recent years.

Seeing him walk with his posture straight, his chin held high and his body slightly muscular completely changed the perception that many of these students had of him.

“Lucy Wavecrest and Zane Dreadmourne, for not letting your pride cloud your judgment, for knowing how to take advantage of a great opportunity in front of you, for how Wavecrest dealt with his believers and Dreadmourne realized his mistake in the middle of the test and corrected it in time, as well as the innovative way you began to develop your divinity during the test, the school saw great potential in you, so you can accompany me.” The teacher said as he looked at the two students who were still at the back of the auditorium with a small smile.

Even though it might seem to many that Lucy and Zane had only been carried by Adrian, knowing how to be carried is already a great quality.

Especially in the army, where soldiers are constantly collaborating with gods who are stronger than them, having soldiers who know how to stay out of the way and take advantage of opportunities to improve their own strength is a very good thing.

Even more so with the new applications of these two students' deities that the young Innovashine had developed, especially for Wavecrest, the potential that the school saw in them was much greater than when they first arrived.

When the students saw the trio on stage, there was no surprise that they were there.

In past tests, becoming an Elemental God was practically a guarantee of passing the test, so knowing that the three Elemental Gods had passed the test didn't surprise anyone.

The biggest surprise was that among the next two students that the teacher called up, completing the five places available to pass, there was no Zack Gale!

Noticing this, many students looked at the arrogant god of Thunder and saw that electric arcs were crackling around him as he stared angrily at Adrian on stage, receiving everyone's adoration.

“That said, apart from the five students who passed the test, the others are dismissed. You'll have 15 days off before being drafted into the army, so make good use of that time.” The teacher said as he turned and left the stage with the five successful students.

“Jeez, just when I'm about to graduate, three perverts turn up and become Elemental Gods during the test!” One student complained in frustration.

“I think if I try really hard and make my believers pray for me, I can get enough Divine Power to become an Elemental God, will the school let me pass if I do?” A student asked hopefully.

Hearing this, a student next to him shook his head.

“You can even try, but it's very likely that you'll lose your credentials by then. Now that the test is over and the power gap between the successful and unsuccessful students is wide, what usually happens is that the successful students begin to dedicate themselves to dominating the rest of the small world, driving out all the gods weaker than them.” The boy explained. “Not to mention that without the booths, to enter the mortal world again we'll have to spend Divine Power, even to attack in the mortal world we'll spend more Divine Power than normal...”

Hearing this explanation, the other students were disappointed.

In order to enter the small world without spending Divine Power, it was necessary to have absolute control over that world, something that only the school had, and which would only be distributed to the students who passed the test...

This was already a form of investment by the school in the successful students, widening the gap between them and the unsuccessful students more and more.

- Adrian POV -

Accompanied by the teacher, I was surprised by the other two students who had passed with us.

They had both become Rank 9 Embryonic Deities with a good development of their realms.

As their realms were very distant from my realms, I didn't have any information about them and how their realms were doing.

But from the teacher's speech, the way they dealt with their believers and even battled the demons was what made them pass the test.

Just as I didn't have much information about them, they had even less information about me, since their intelligence network was practically non-existent compared to mine.

But I didn't sense any animosity from them towards me.

On the contrary, they were both very doubtful and interested in us after seeing that the three of us were so powerful.

When they felt Zane and Lucy's power and realized that the two of them were only Rank 1 Elemental Gods, I could see competitiveness in their gaze, but when they looked at me and saw that I was a Rank 3 Elemental God, that competitiveness evaporated instantly.

Our current difference was at least 50 million Divine Power Points, an unimaginable number for any of them, so they just kept quiet while we followed the teacher.

Soon we arrived in the teachers' room and I could see several screens with images of our cabins and images of the mortal world.

'So this is how they watched us...' I thought in surprise.

“Here are the five approved, Directors.” The teacher gave a military salute and walked away from us, leaving the five of us facing a man and a woman while several teachers looked at us curiously.

Comments

Imagine asking for a catalog with the powers of other gods and separate them into possible partners(war, strategy, space of healing..)or simply users withe believers, oh man the untapped market

Bonobo

Okay so if the other two have useful Divinities, adopt them into the pantheon. They obviously have potential, and don't seem stuck up their own behinds given their actions and apparent successes for their realms.
